The mid-sized luxury sedan is descended from the rear-wheel-drive Lincoln LS, which was built on the Jaguar S-Type platform and debuted for the 2000 model year. After a less-than-thrilling run of disappointing sales numbers, the LS became the front-wheel-drive Lincoln Zephyr for 2006. But then the maker's marketing minds decided to streamline their line's names into a letters-only scheme (except for the untouchable Navigator and Town Car), in hopes of attracting more - and younger - buyers. So after just one year, the Zephyr became the MKZ, harking back to Lincoln's old (and beloved) Mark and Zephyr models and preserving the Zephyr's initial. This car upon test drive does not perform like past Lincolns it has no power. My last vehicle was a Lincoln Zephyr and the power difference is unbelievable. I chose against it after the test drive.

Beautiful inside and out. Comfortable and quite ride. Tremendous power and pickup. Feather touch gas pedal and powerful V-6 sends you flying down the road. This roomy AWD sedan handles like a sports car. Lots of leg room even for passengers in the back. Navigation system with Bluetooth that lets you connect your cell for handsfree calling. Loaded with safety features with a 5-star safety rating. Blind spot detection, brake assist, lane assist, collision avoidance system, backup camera, and parking assist. Auto dim for the side and rearview mirrors. Memory for three driver seat and mirror settings.
