Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and a driver attention monitor

• Infotainment: an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the base LX trim level; higher trim levels get a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation

• Fuel efficiency: Most 2023 Kia Soul models get EPA-rated fuel economy of 30 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 33 mpg highway), but the Kia Soul EX is rated slightly higher at 31 mpg combined 29 mpg city, 35 mpg highway).

Which Kia Soul trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Soul offers these trims:

• LX: the entry trim with a digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and standard driver-assist features; a smart pick if you want the lowest starting point.
• S: adds lane change assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, automatic high beams, and voice recognition, making it the best-value trim for many shoppers.
• EX: adds the higher-output fuel-economy rating in the expert review data, plus the 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging, and extra USB charging ports.
• GT-Line: adds the sportiest look, with optional 18-inch wheels and a more distinctive exterior treatment; the GT-Line Technology Package adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a dual-level cargo floor, cargo cover, junction-turning forward collision warning, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, and Highway Drive Assist.

What Kia Soul do most buyers choose?

The Kia Soul years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.

Higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more choices, more price competition, and a better chance of finding the trim and condition you want. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and lower used-car pricing.

What is the Kia Soul's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. The newer years show some of the larger drops, while a few older years are changing more gradually. One model year is essentially flat, which suggests especially steady pricing in that part of the lineup.

The 2015 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2018, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
