What should I look for when buying a used Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance systems
• Infotainment: 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay
• Fuel efficiency: 40 mpg in combined driving on front-wheel-drive (FWD) models, 37 mpg combined on all-wheel-drive (AWD) ones. The TrailSport hybrid and its knobbier tires receive an extra penalty, but at 35 mpg combined, it’s still one of the most efficient adventure-oriented compact crossovers on the market and offers comparable gas mileage to other small AWD hybrid SUVs.

Which Honda CR-V Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid offers these trims:

• Sport: The hybrid lineup starts here, and it brings the 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid system with 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, plus the model's efficient everyday character.
• TrailSport: This trim adds orange badges, Shark Gray 18-inch wheels, Continental CrossContact ATR tires, a silver skid-plate-style trim piece, black door handles, orange contrast stitching, embroidered headrests, and all-season floor mats for the first and second row.
• Sport-L: This trim adds the hybrid powertrain with a more upscale equipment mix, and it sits in the middle of the lineup for buyers who want a stronger value balance.
• Sport Touring: This top hybrid trim adds the 10.2-inch digital driver information display, Google built-in, and the 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.

What Honda CR-V Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Honda CR-V Hybrid years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to draw the most attention because they give you more inventory to compare and a wider spread of prices and trims. That usually makes it easier to find a version that fits your budget and feature priorities.

What is the Honda CR-V Hybrid's resale value?

Most model years in the table are moving lower year over year, which is good news if you're shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. The largest drop appears in the oldest year shown, while the newer years are changing by smaller amounts. That pattern suggests recent-model shoppers may find more room to negotiate than buyers looking at the newest inventory.

The 2021, 2026, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Honda CR-V Hybrid safe?

Consider waiting if:

• Tech: Honda has made the previously optional 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display standard equipment on all 2026 CR-Vs, and wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay are both standard.
