I don't think there is a better vehicle than the Ford Expedition. Going on a trip? Pack whatever you want! Take that extra suitcase, and bring that extra friend! Moving? We put all of our clothes for 2 adults and a teenager and 4 large TV's, 3 large plants, and a bunch of paintings in this vehicle when we moved. Do you get carsick? You won't in an Expedition, because of the visibility and the height you are sitting up off of the road. If you aren't a big fan of traveling and road trips make you crabby, try your next trip in an Expedition. You'll quickly become a fan. You just can't beat this vehicle.

Great off road handling. Superior traction in all conditions. Very few repairs needed since purchased. Great MPG for its year and size. Excellent horsepower because of size of engine (5.4L). Very Fun to drive on or off roads. Terrific traction in the snow. Powerful enough to become a weekend plow truck. Destroys the completion for its year in all suv's. Also it is as heavy duty as a tank, almost indestructible. Only Down part of this truck is it is a gas Guzzler. I would certainly recommend this SUV to everyone who likes to have fun or has a big family (Seats 8 with 3rd row seat)

The ford expedition is a fun SUV to drive. It is so high off the ground that I can see the roof of an explorer. Performance wise it is very good. I haven't had to do much work on it. It is incredibly easy to do oil changes on. My expedition has the eddie bauer trim package ( leather seats , sunroof and 6cd changer in the armrest.) MPG really stink , it only gets about 13, but it is very safe and makes driving in winter a breeze. The only real issue I have had with the expedition is the rough shift . When the engine RPMs are high the gear shifts feel vaguely like being kicked by a mule; but that problem can be avoided by relatively slow acceleration.

Overall, my truck is a great family vehicle. It can seat 7 adults but I would suggest the 3rd row stadium seating be reserved for children as it's not roomy in the leg department. The 2nd row captain seats are very comfortable indeed. The DVD player keeps the kids happy for awhile. :-) The driver and passenger seating are very comfortable as well. As big as my truck is, it's not awkward and I've always felt comfortable driving it. My truck is a V8 Triton so it accelerates well and handles well. Braking depends on the brake & tire quality. The better the quality, the better the braking and handling. Cheap brakes squeak and cheap tires make the truck feel as though it's rolling slightly to the sides. I believe maintenance and repair costs are fair for my truck. Overall, I would recommend this truck for any family needing reliable transportation but can't afford $10,000+ for a new car.
