Is the 2026 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sorento earns a 2/5 user rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a three-row SUV with family-friendly space, a more upscale cabin, and a wide range of powertrain choices. The Sorento also brings useful standard equipment on the base LX, plus a broad set of available safety and convenience features, so you can tailor it to comfort, capability, or efficiency priorities. Its sharper styling and more premium interior touches help it stand out if you want something that feels a bit more polished than a basic family hauler. The market currently shows 37.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sorento is presented as a well-equipped family SUV with a broad spread of powertrains and a strong safety feature set, which supports its appeal for everyday use. It offers standard collision warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, along with available features that add confidence and convenience. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is choosing a poorly maintained example or one with a powertrain and feature set that doesn’t match how you actually drive.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the seller’s claims about trim, equipment, and prior use. Put inspection priority on the cabin, electronics, driver-assist features, and any signs of wear that could matter more on a family SUV. Focus on overall condition and maintenance consistency, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim model with more complex equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,569 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers a right-sized family SUV with a wide range of powertrains.

The bottom line: The 2026 makes sense if you want the Sorento’s space, style, and feature-rich setup, especially if you value a more upscale cabin and broad powertrain choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers the same basic family-SUV formula and may give you a lower entry point.
