Is the 2025 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Volvo S60 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

The overview describes it as a compact luxury sedan that blends Scandinavian design, strong safety credentials, and a broad range of powertrains. It also emphasizes a premium-feeling cabin with standard features like a panoramic moonroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen, so you get a lot of equipment without needing to move up the trim ladder.

For shoppers who want a stylish, safety-focused luxury sedan with a more individual character than the usual German alternatives, it fits that brief well. 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to Volvo’s safety-first approach, standard City Safety on every car, and a history of IIHS Top Safety Pick+ recognition for this generation. It also highlights the model’s premium build and comfort-focused character, which are the kinds of traits many used buyers look for when they want a car that feels well thought out over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been maintained properly and checked carefully, especially if you are comparing higher-complexity versions or a vehicle with a less transparent service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on overall wear, electronics, and any signs that the car has been repaired after damage.

Because this model is positioned as a premium sedan with a lot of standard equipment, it is worth paying close attention to how well the cabin, infotainment, and safety systems have held up. If you are considering a higher-complexity example, condition and maintenance history matter even more.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volvo S60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 594 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.56% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,619, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $34,830 sits slightly above last year's $32,382.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can help support resale confidence if you buy at the right price. The year-round range also gives you a useful benchmark: if you purchase near the lower end, you may have a better chance of preserving value later.

For a future seller, the combination of premium positioning, strong safety reputation, and steady demand can help keep the car attractive to used shoppers. A well-kept example with clean history and desirable equipment should be easier to market than one with visible wear or a questionable record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.56% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newest version of this sedan’s formula, especially with its strong satisfaction score and healthy accident-free share. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a lower entry point while still delivering the same core Volvo strengths, so it is worth comparing listings side by side before you decide.
