Is the 2025 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Volvo S60 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a compact luxury sedan that blends Scandinavian design, strong safety credentials, and a broad range of powertrains, with standard features like a panoramic moonroof, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen helping it feel premium even in base form. It also suits you if you want a distinctive luxury sedan rather than a generic choice, especially if comfort, safety, and available high-end audio matter more to you than outright sportiness. 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview emphasizes Volvo’s safety focus, standard City Safety, and the model’s strong safety reputation, all of which support confidence in day-to-day ownership. It also notes that the 2025 S60 sits at the top of the third-generation model’s evolution, which suggests a more mature product than an early-run redesign.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car has been maintained well and checked carefully, especially if you are considering a more complex powertrain configuration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and confirm that the car’s condition matches the listing photos and description. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the powertrain, electronics, and interior features, since this model leans heavily on technology and premium equipment. If you are considering a plug-in hybrid example, pay extra attention to service records and overall condition so you can avoid surprises.

The current average of $34,683 sits slightly above last year's $32,380.

That price movement suggests the market is still willing to pay up for this model year, which can help support resale value if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. The combination of premium positioning, safety reputation, and broad appeal among shoppers who want something different from the usual German sedans can help keep demand steady. If you buy at the right price and maintain the car carefully, you should have a better chance of protecting your exit value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.11% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this sedan with strong safety credentials, a premium standard feature set, and broad market support, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby older year may be the better secondary path, especially if you can find a cleaner example at a meaningfully lower price.
