CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Sienna
overall

Summary
With 1,335 currently listed for sale and an average price of $48,641.00, 28.4% of 2025 Toyota Siennas for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars.
94.1% of 2025 Sienna models on CarGurus are accident free.
The 2025 Toyota Sienna features a standard hybrid powertrain, offering impressive fuel efficiency of 35 to 36 mpg in combined driving, and includes an available all-wheel-drive system for enhanced traction.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sienna distinguishes itself in the minivan market with its standard hybrid powertrain, which not only enhances fuel efficiency but also provides a smooth and quiet ride. With a net horsepower of 245, the Sienna is designed to accommodate families with its spacious interior and practical features, such as the option for all-wheel drive and a Woodland Edition trim that offers additional ground clearance for light off-roading. While it may not have the maximum cargo capacity compared to its rivals, the Sienna's design allows for easy access and usability of its storage space without the hassle of removing seats. Additionally, the Sienna is equipped with advanced technology features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a robust infotainment system, making it a user-friendly choice for families. However, potential buyers should be aware of its less-than-ideal real-world fuel economy and the performance of its continuously variable transmission, which can be less engaging than traditional setups.

Great handling car with an amazing amount of flexible storage. The XSE trim provides extra features for our sporting needs including the hidden tow and Hybrid makes this fuel efficient. No range anxiety when there is >800km on a full tank.

We looked at some platinum and XLE models. While platinum has built-in fridge and built in vacuum but it's also more pricey. While XLE doesn't have ottoman and second row entertainment unit. This model fits perfectly for my family's needs

Prices have softened 5.48% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,360 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.
If you find a listing below $46,270.23, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.
The Sienna is built for you if you want a family-focused minivan with a smooth, quiet ride, a spacious interior, and practical usability. Its standard hybrid powertrain and available all-wheel drive make it especially appealing if efficiency and traction matter in your daily driving.
The main trade-offs are the irritating transmission and less outright load space than rivals. It also gives up some driving engagement, so if you want a more spirited minivan, this one is more about comfort and convenience than fun.
With 29.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Sienna’s hybrid setup is designed to prioritize efficiency and smooth operation, and the cabin-focused tuning supports easy everyday use. Its powertrain is quiet in normal driving, and the overall package is aimed at reducing hassle for family ownership.
ToyotaCare includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles, which helps lower early ownership costs. That kind of coverage can make the first stretch of ownership simpler and more predictable.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that real-world fuel economy may fall short of expectations, so your running costs can vary more than the official figures suggest.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples or vehicles with lots of family-duty wear. Focus on cabin condition, tire wear, brake feel, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features work as expected.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum. The LE is the entry point, so it misses some of the richer equipment found higher up, while the Platinum adds upscale touches such as new woodgrain trim and distinctive wheel design.
- Powertrain: You get a hybrid system with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is available, and the setup is tuned for smooth, quiet commuting rather than excitement.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included, and the LE has a simpler three-zone climate setup.
- Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the system supports connected services and over-the-air-style cloud features through subscriptions.
- Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating for the FWD model is 36 mpg combined, and the evaluation loop returned 26.3 mpg. The hybrid setup is efficient on paper, but your real-world results may vary.
Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, and Platinum.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LE is the most basic choice, and it misses some of the richer tech and comfort equipment found on higher trims. It also has three-zone climate control instead of the four-zone setup found higher in the range.
- Sweet-spot trim: The XLE is the best value if you want a step up from the base model without chasing luxury pricing. It should give you a more satisfying mix of family-friendly equipment and everyday usability.
- Premium/top trim: The Platinum is the most upscale choice, with the 12.3-inch display setup, premium audio, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and added interior polish.
- Off-road trim: The Woodland Edition is the one to consider if you want the extra ground clearance and available AWD, but it makes the most sense if you’ll actually use that capability.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is the standard safety package across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring plus rear cross-traffic alert are included on all Siennas.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep distress pricing.
- Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,360 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.48% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $46,270.23, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $48,570 sits slightly below last year's $51,387.
That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend points to a vehicle that is holding value reasonably well, but not gaining ground.
The Sienna’s strong practicality, hybrid efficiency, and family-friendly reputation should help support demand over time. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you should be in a better position when it’s time to resell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the Sienna a five-star overall rating, but it also earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, and the 2025 model adds rear-seat reminder technology.
The main caveat is the frontal crash result, which is weaker than you’d want from a family hauler. You should pay close attention to how the driver-assistance systems behave in real traffic, especially adaptive cruise control in urban settings.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.48% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds rear-seat reminder technology and keeps the useful hybrid-and-AWD formula.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $45,137, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,570 average.
- It emphasizes fuel-saving practicality and family-friendly space.
The bottom line: if you want the newest version with the current feature set and you’re comfortable paying more, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you can find one in clean condition with the equipment you want.
