CarGurus Analysis: 2025 Toyota Sienna
overall

Summary
With 1,452 currently listed for sale and an average price of $48,500.00, 31.3% of 2025 Toyota Siennas for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Toyota Sienna 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.
93.9% of 2025 Sienna models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2025 Toyota Sienna stands out in the minivan class by pairing a standard hybrid powertrain with practical everyday usability. It is also described as getting on in years, but it still brings a mix of strengths that make it a worthy contender, including great ride quality, a quiet cabin, and easy-to-use technology.
Its appeal is especially clear in the way it balances efficiency and versatility. The Sienna is said to promise 35 to 36 mpg in combined driving, and it offers an available all-wheel-drive system for extra traction. A Woodland Edition trim adds half an inch of extra ground clearance for light off-roading capability, giving it a bit more ruggedness than many shoppers expect from a minivan. Just as important, you never need to remove the second-row seats to use its cargo area, which makes day-to-day hauling simpler even though its maximum cargo capacity falls short of rivals.
There are still tradeoffs to consider. The transmission is described as irritating, and real-world fuel economy is noted as poor despite the strong combined mpg promise. Even so, the 2025 Toyota Sienna remains distinctive for buyers who want a comfortable, quiet minivan that emphasizes fuel savings, available AWD, and practical packaging.

We looked at some platinum and XLE models. While platinum has built-in fridge and built in vacuum but it's also more pricey. While XLE doesn't have ottoman and second row entertainment unit. This model fits perfectly for my family's needs

See more price trendsHow much does the 2025 Toyota Sienna cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $48,306 |

| Year-Round High | $50,990.46 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $50,599 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −4.53% |
Prices have softened 4.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,571 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare. If you find a listing below $46,261.15, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.
The Sienna fits well if you want a family-focused minivan with a standard hybrid powertrain, a smooth and quiet ride, and practical space usage. Its available all-wheel drive and Woodland Edition trim also give you some flexibility if you want extra traction or a little more capability.
The trade-offs are clear: the transmission can be irritating, real-world fuel economy fell short in testing, and cargo space trails some rivals. Even so, the model’s easy-to-use tech and comfort-oriented setup make it appealing if you value convenience over driving excitement.
With 30.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Sienna’s standard hybrid setup is designed to deliver efficient, low-stress daily driving, and the cabin-focused approach supports the kind of dependable family use many shoppers want. Its smooth ride and quiet highway manners also point to a vehicle that’s built for routine commuting and road trips rather than constant hard use.
ToyotaCare complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles adds a helpful ownership perk early on. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the hybrid system, transmission behavior, and overall condition have been maintained well enough to preserve that easygoing ownership experience.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing higher-mileage examples or vans that have seen heavy family-duty use. Focus on cabin condition, seat wear, and how well the tech and driver-assistance features operate, since those are central to the Sienna’s appeal.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The LE is the entry point, and it has three-zone climate control instead of the four-zone setup found on higher-spec models. The Platinum trim adds upscale touches such as a new woodgrain finish, while the Woodland Edition is the one aimed at light off-road use.
- Powertrain: The Sienna uses a hybrid system with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available; the setup is tuned for efficiency, with 245 net horsepower and EPA-rated combined fuel economy of 36 mpg on the FWD test model.
- Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included on all Siennas.
- Infotainment: Higher-spec models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.3-inch touchscreen for Toyota Audio Multimedia. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available, and the system supports over-the-air connected services through its subscription plans.
- Fuel efficiency: Toyota rates the FWD model at 36 mpg combined, and the hybrid setup is intended to maximize fuel economy.
Which 2025 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?
The 2025 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, Woodland Edition, Platinum.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The LE is the most stripped-down choice, and it misses some of the nicer tech and comfort upgrades found higher up the range, including the larger displays and four-zone climate control.
- Sweet-spot trim: The XLE is the best value pick if you want a more complete family setup without jumping all the way to luxury pricing.
- Premium/top trim: The Platinum is the most upscale choice, with the richest interior presentation, the larger tech suite, and the most premium-feeling equipment.
- Off-road trim: The Woodland Edition is the one to consider if you want the extra ground clearance and occasional light off-road capability, though most daily drivers will be better served by a more road-focused trim.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, and all Siennas also include blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sienna?
The market looks selective but workable if you shop carefully.
- Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,571 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 94.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $46,261.15, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Toyota Sienna's resale value?
The current average of $48,306 sits slightly below last year's $50,599.
That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you’re planning to keep the van for several years. For a future seller, softer current pricing can mean less immediate upside, but it also may support steadier demand if shoppers continue to value the Sienna’s efficiency and practicality.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Toyota Sienna safe?
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives the Sienna a five-star overall rating, but it earned four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star protection for the driver in a frontal impact.
It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is the standard driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard across the lineup.
One important caveat is that the Sienna does not earn a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS, so you should weigh its strong equipment list against that crash-test result.
Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.53% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It adds a new rear-seat reminder system and keeps the hybrid/AWD family-friendly formula intact.
Consider the 2024 if:
- At $45,258, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,306 average.
- It emphasizes fuel efficiency and practicality.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the latest updates and are comfortable paying a bit more, the 2025 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you’re focused on the Sienna’s core strengths rather than the newest features.
