Used 2025 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearPaguate, NM

How much does the 2025 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 8.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,401 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sequoia earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It stands out as Toyota’s full-size SUV, with seating for up to eight people, a truck-based platform, and a Texas-themed 1794 Edition that adds a more upscale angle. The trade-off is that its packaging limits make it most convincing when towing rather than as an all-around class leader.

Cons: Poor fuel economy and a cramped third row are the biggest compromises, and the cabin also leaves you wanting more cargo space.

The current market shows 33.2% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia’s standard hybrid setup and Toyota’s reputation for practical, durable family vehicles support its reliability case. Its powertrain is described as muscular and quick, and the truck-based design is built around towing and hauling rather than complexity for its own sake.

The hybrid system is meant to deliver competitive power, not standout fuel economy, so long-term ownership is more about accepting its compromises than expecting class-leading efficiency. For used buyers, the main risk is that the Sequoia’s packaging and heavy-duty mission can make it feel less refined in everyday driving than you might hope.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has been used for towing. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and signs that the SUV has been asked to do heavy-duty work.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and the 1794 Edition. The 1794 Edition adds machined-finish 20-inch wheels, more exterior chrome, Saddle Tan leather upholstery, open pore American walnut wood trim, and all-weather floor mats, while the cabin still shows a lot of typical Toyota-grade plastic.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses an i-Force Max hybrid setup with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, an electric motor, a nickel metal hydride battery pack, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers strong acceleration and a terrific engine note, but it is not tuned for good gas mileage.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: The test vehicle had a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system supports connected services, though many advanced features depend on subscriptions.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA says a 4WD Sequoia should average 20 mpg in combined driving, but the test vehicle averaged 16.2 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and 1794 Edition.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point if you want the Sequoia’s core full-size SUV capability without paying for the more upscale trims. It gives you the standard hybrid powertrain and the same basic family-hauling mission, but it won’t deliver the richer materials or extra visual flair of the higher trims.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want a more balanced mix of equipment and value. It sits above the base model without pushing you into the more expensive luxury-oriented versions.
• Platinum: This is the step up if you want a more premium-feeling Sequoia before you reach the specialty trims. It also serves as the foundation for the 1794 Edition’s added luxury touches.
• TRD Pro: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking version in the lineup and are drawn to the off-road-oriented character described in the test vehicle. It is the trim for buyers who want a more specialized personality.
• Capstone: This is the top-end luxury choice if you want the most upscale Sequoia experience in the lineup. It is the trim to consider if comfort and premium presentation matter most.
• 1794 Edition: This is the best-value pick if you want the most distinctive blend of luxury and style. It adds Saddle Tan leather, walnut wood trim, chrome accents, and 20-inch wheels, giving the Sequoia a more upscale personality without changing its core mission.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard as well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

The market looks moderately favorable if you’re a selective buyer.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,401 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $70,502, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $70,502 sits slightly below last year's $76,803.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. If prices continue to ease, future sellers may need to be more competitive to move a Sequoia quickly.

The good news is that strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The Sequoia has no crash-test ratings cited here.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The main caveat is that the lane-assist features can be intrusive, with false lane departure warnings and overly obvious lane keep assist behavior. That means the safety tech is comprehensive, but you may want to tailor the settings to your preferences.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds the 1794 Edition, which brings a more upscale Texas-themed luxury angle.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $65,011, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $70,502 average.
• It pairs full-size SUV utility with a standard hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds broader trim appeal and standard power-folding third-row seats across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the 1794 Edition and a softer used-market price trend, the 2025 makes sense. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better value path.
