Used 2025 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearSanta Fe, NM

How much does the 2025 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 8.58% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,399 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Sequoia earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 5.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

The Sequoia is Toyota’s full-size SUV, and it is built around a truck-based platform with seating for up to eight people. That makes it a fit for you if you want a large family hauler with towing capability and a more upscale angle in the 1794 Edition.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert review calls out poor fuel economy, a cramped third row, and not much cargo space. Even so, the Sequoia’s easy-to-use technology and stylish design help it stand out if you value capability and convenience over maximum interior packaging.

37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Sequoia’s standard hybrid powertrain and Toyota’s reputation for practical, durable utility both point toward a vehicle built for long-term use. The expert review also describes the drivetrain as muscular and quick, which supports the idea that the Sequoia is engineered to handle heavy-duty family and towing demands.

Toyota also includes a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, which can help reduce day-to-day stress when you own the vehicle for years. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Sequoia’s packaging compromises and fuel economy may become more noticeable as mileage and ownership costs add up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one that has been used for towing. Focus on cabin condition, cargo-area wear, and signs that the vehicle has been used hard, since the Sequoia’s strengths are tied closely to its utility role.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sequoia 1794 Edition builds on the Platinum with machined-finish 20-inch wheels, more exterior chrome, Saddle Tan leather upholstery, open pore American walnut wood trim, and all-weather floor mats. The lineup also includes SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone, so base-trim equipment gaps matter if you want a more upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses an i-Force Max hybrid setup with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, an electric motor, a 1.87-kilowatt-hour nickel metal hydride battery pack, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It delivers 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, and the review notes that it is muscular rather than fuel-sipping.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: The test vehicle had a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system also supports connected services, though many advanced functions depend on subscriptions.
• Fuel efficiency: The review says the Sequoia should average 20 mpg in combined driving with 4WD, but the test vehicle averaged only 16.2 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, 1794 Edition.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the entry point if you want the Sequoia’s standard hybrid powertrain and core safety tech without paying for luxury extras. It makes sense if you care more about capability than cabin upgrades.
• Limited: This is the trim to watch if you want a better balance of equipment and value, since it moves you beyond the base setup without jumping all the way to the premium-focused versions.
• Platinum: This is the foundation for the 1794 Edition, so it is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale interior and are willing to pay for added comfort and appearance features.
• TRD Pro: This is the choice if you want the most off-road-oriented character in the lineup, though the review also makes clear that the Sequoia’s packaging limits still matter.
• Capstone: This is the top luxury-leaning trim for shoppers who want the most premium presentation in the lineup.
• 1794 Edition: This is the best-value pick if you want the most distinctive blend of style and upscale materials, since it adds Saddle Tan leather, walnut trim, and extra chrome on top of the Platinum.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, along with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,399 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $70,236, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $70,236 sits slightly below last year's $76,828.

That price movement suggests the Sequoia has softened enough to give used buyers more leverage today, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the right point in the cycle, you can reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later.

The model’s strong owner satisfaction rating helps support demand, especially among shoppers who want a full-size SUV with Toyota branding and towing capability. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Sequoia safe?

The 2025 Sequoia had no crash-test ratings released from IIHS or NHTSA at the time of publication.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Sequoia has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane-centering assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.

The review also notes a caveat: the lane-assist features can be intrusive, with false lane-departure warnings and overly obvious lane keep assist behavior. That means the Sequoia gives you a strong standard safety suite, but you may want to tune some systems to your preference.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds the 1794 Edition, a Texas-themed luxury trim that broadens the lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $64,731, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $70,236 average.
• It pairs full-size SUV utility with a standard hybrid powertrain.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds broader trim refinement and standard power-folding third-row seats.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the 1794 Edition and current market pricing, the 2025 is the better target. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play because it costs less while keeping the Sequoia’s core hybrid utility.
