How much does the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,095 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It is built as a two-row midsize SUV for traveling almost anywhere at almost any time, and it shares its platform with the rugged Toyota 4Runner SUV and Tacoma pickup truck. That setup supports its clear identity as a capable, go-anywhere SUV with a stylish design and impressive off-roading ability.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy, poor handling, and an uncomfortable back seat. Even so, the Land Cruiser’s easy-to-use technology and strong off-road focus make it a compelling fit if you value capability and everyday usability over efficiency.

The market shows 34.4% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser’s reliability case is helped by its straightforward mission and its shared platform with Toyota’s rugged truck-based lineup. It is built around a turbocharged hybrid powertrain that is described as better at supplying power than efficiency, and the overall package is aimed at durability-minded buyers who want a capable SUV for both daily use and rough terrain.

Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of complimentary scheduled service, which is a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is that the same traits that make it capable can also make it expensive to live with if you care about fuel use and ride comfort.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific truck you’re considering has a clean record and consistent maintenance. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you plan to use the SUV the way it was designed to be used, since off-road hardware and premium equipment can add complexity. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the vehicle’s features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim has round headlights, cloth seats, basic equipment, and one of three paint colors, while the Land Cruiser trim adds a more modern, upscale look, more colors, a nicer interior with larger screens, and critical off-roading hardware and software.
• Powertrain: Every Land Cruiser uses Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor. It is tuned more for power than efficiency, with 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Every model includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high-beam headlights, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate standard systems, while the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to dual 12.3-inch displays and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, cloud-based navigation, a conversational digital assistant, and connected service plans. The Premium Package adds a 14-speaker JBL sound system, a wireless smartphone charger, a head-up display, a digital camera-based rearview mirror, and digital key technology.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating is 23 mpg combined, but the test vehicle averaged 15.7 mpg in real-world driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 2 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the cheaper entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser name with a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer colors. It saves you $4,770 versus the Land Cruiser trim, but the content makes clear that you give up the nicer interior, larger screens, and added off-road hardware and software.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim because it adds the more modern and upscale cabin, larger dual 12.3-inch displays, more colors, and the critical off-roading hardware and software. It is also the trim that opens the door to the Premium Package, which adds leather and more tech.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on both trims, and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate standard systems.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,095 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,978, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $61,978 sits slightly below last year's $62,423.

That small decline suggests the market is holding fairly steady rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing stability can be helpful because it points to predictable demand and less risk of a sudden value drop.

The Land Cruiser’s premium positioning also matters: buyers shopping this SUV are usually looking for capability and brand appeal, which can help support used demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns an overall rating of four stars out of five from NHTSA, receiving four-star ratings in the frontal-impact test, five-star ratings in side-impact testing, and a three-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Land Cruiser includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which brings forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road sign reader, automatic high-beam headlights, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, and the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

One caveat is that the lane-centering assist and adaptive cruise control struggled in some driving conditions, and the system could become indecisive enough to require manual intervention.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same rugged two-row formula, with a turbocharged hybrid powertrain and strong off-road capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $59,652, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $61,978 average.
• It introduced the current U.S. Land Cruiser redesign and pairs retro styling with excellent off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year Land Cruiser with stable pricing, strong inventory, and the same core capability, the 2025 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play and still delivers the model’s core strengths.
