How much does the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 4.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,690 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That mix makes it appealing if you want a small crossover with real utility and winter confidence, not a flashy one. The tradeoff is that the base engine is described as underpowered, and the CVT can bring noise and droning.

35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the nameplate successful: a simple, practical subcompact crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. It is based on the Subaru Impreza hatchback, and that car-like foundation helps explain why the Crosstrek feels like a straightforward daily driver rather than a complicated SUV.

That simplicity is part of the appeal if you want a small crossover that is easy to live with and useful in bad weather. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that a vehicle with this kind of utility-focused setup can still be affected by wear from hard use, so condition matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s past matches the listing details. Put inspection priority on the drivetrain, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal how the car was used. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, especially if you want a Crosstrek that will stay dependable as a daily driver.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,690 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,740, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $28,740 sits slightly below last year's $30,235.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a hotter market. If you keep the car clean and well maintained, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,271, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,740 average.
• It offers more trim variety and a Wilderness option.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for it. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it costs less and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core strengths.
