What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Rivian R1S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, even when a listing looks clean on paper. Because you’re shopping a used electric SUV, it also makes sense to pay close attention to how the vehicle presents in person and whether the asking price matches its condition.

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment, with a sizable share of listings priced competitively and enough inventory to give you options.

Should I buy a 2025 Rivian R1S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

The bottom line: The 2025 is a strong primary choice if you want a favorable market with a healthy mix of value and cleaner inventory. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s still worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a different year gives you a lower entry price, but the 2025 already offers a solid balance of deal availability and selection.
