How much does the 2025 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 2.46% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,790 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating, the 2025 Porsche 911 lands in strong territory for shoppers who want a sports car that still works in everyday use. The model’s refreshed 992.2 generation brings subtle updates to the face, interior, and power output while keeping the familiar rear-engine layout, and the expert verdict highlights thrilling performance, excellent ride quality, great usability, and handsome looks.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

That said, you should weigh the trade-offs: highway wind buffeting can be an issue, the tech can feel slightly confusing, and the base model no longer offers a manual transmission. Even so, the car’s balance of excitement and livability makes it especially appealing if you want a sports car you can drive regularly rather than only on weekends.

With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2025 Porsche 911’s appeal here is less about rugged utility and more about consistency: the expert review emphasizes excellent overall performance, solid daily livability, and a comfortable, simplistic interior, all of which point to a car that feels well sorted in regular use.

The performance notes also support that impression, with smooth and impressively fast shifts, strong braking, and confident handling. On the ownership side, the base model’s standard dual-clutch gearbox and standard adaptive dampers suggest a well-developed package rather than a highly compromised one.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that a high-performance sports car can be costly to keep in top shape, so condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with a strong clean-history rate, you should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of hard use, uneven wear, and any evidence that the car has been driven more aggressively than its mileage suggests. Because this is a performance car, condition matters as much as equipment.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Carrera stands out for its standard Matrix Design LED headlights, clean interior layout, and wide-body styling cues that used to be reserved for higher trims. It also keeps the cabin simple and upscale, but the base model no longer offers a manual transmission.
• Powertrain: The standard setup uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six with 388 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed PDK and rear-wheel drive. It delivers strong acceleration and a broad usable powerband, with EPA-rated fuel economy of 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 10.9-inch infotainment screen with Porsche Communication Management, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a layout that’s intentionally simple. The digital instrument cluster measures 12.6 inches and is clear, but it can take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: The base Carrera is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche 911 is offered in 6 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera Cabriolet, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS T-Hybrid, and Carrera 4 GTS.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value choice if you want the core 911 experience at the lowest starting price. You get the twin-turbo flat-six, rear-wheel drive, the quick-shifting PDK, strong ride quality, and the model’s standout driving dynamics without paying for extra performance hardware you may not need.
• Carrera Cabriolet: Choose this if you want open-air driving and are willing to pay more for the convertible body style. It keeps the 911 formula intact but is aimed more at buyers who value top-down touring than maximum value.
• Carrera T: This is the trim to consider if you specifically want the manual transmission, since that gearbox is available here. It suits you best if driver involvement matters more than outright convenience.
• Carrera S: This trim adds more power, with horsepower rising to 473 and torque to 390 lb-ft. It makes sense if you want a stronger performance margin without jumping all the way to the hybridized GTS models.
• Carrera GTS T-Hybrid: This is the most powerful standard Carrera-family option described here, with a 3.6-liter flat-six, larger turbochargers, and a plug-in hybrid system producing 523 horsepower and 449 lb-ft of torque. It’s the pick if you want the biggest performance jump in the lineup.
• Carrera 4 GTS: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive, which is available only here and adds about $8,000. It’s the right fit if traction matters more than keeping the car as light and rear-drive focused as possible.

The safety package starts with traffic sign recognition, pedestrian protection, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking, while the Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.

What is the 2025 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $225,555 sits slightly above last year's $220,143.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. The year-over-year increase also indicates that demand has held up well enough to support pricing, even with a fairly high average transaction figure.

For a future seller, that means a clean, well-kept example should remain attractive if you price it realistically. Strong condition, desirable equipment, and a documented history should matter a lot in preserving value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera has not been tested by either the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

If you want more coverage, the Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assistance, and lane-change assist.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.46% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The refreshed 992.2 generation brings subtle changes to the face, interior, and power output while keeping the familiar rear-engine shape.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of the 911 with strong performance, excellent usability, and a well-supported used market, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025’s combination of demand, clean inventory, and updated hardware makes it the safer all-around pick.
