Used 2025 Genesis G80 for Sale nearNew Haven, CT

How much does the 2025 Genesis G80 cost?

Prices have softened 4.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 299 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Genesis G80 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2025 G80 is positioned as a good-looking, feature-rich midsize luxury sedan that leans hard on design, technology, and value. It offers a sophisticated presence and premium materials, while also aiming to undercut pricier rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is described as fairly pedestrian, and fuel economy is another drawback. Even so, if you care more about comfort, style, and equipment than outright speed, it fits that use case well.

32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The G80 is presented as a well-equipped luxury sedan with strong value and a polished, comfortable character. Its standard all-wheel drive and broad warranty coverage support the case for confident ownership, and the expert evaluation also highlights a calm, competent driving experience.

Genesis includes three years or 36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which is a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a car this comfort-focused may not satisfy if you expect sporty performance or especially efficient running costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Genesis G80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing cars with different wheel sizes or equipment levels. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base models wear standard 18-inch wheels and leatherette seating, while higher trims add wood trim, larger wheels, and richer materials such as Nappa leather and a micro-suede headliner.
• Powertrain: The G80 offers a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, plus a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, speed limit assist, forward and rear park-distance warning, blind-spot avoidance tech, and Highway Drive Assist. Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park, rear occupant alert, and a blind-spot monitor with a video feed in the gauge cluster.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 27-inch OLED display touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Fingerprint authentication is also included, and Smart Park is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA gives the smaller engine a combined rating of 24 miles per gallon, while the twin-turbo V6 returns 19 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Genesis G80 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Genesis G80 is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Advanced, Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the G80’s core appeal: the refreshed styling, the 27-inch OLED display, and the standard safety and convenience tech. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost path into the model.
• Advanced: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds wood trim and a more upscale cabin feel without pushing you all the way to the top of the range.
• Sport Advanced: Choose this if you want the stronger V6 powertrain and a more performance-oriented setup, but keep expectations realistic because the car still prioritizes comfort over speed.
• Sport Prestige: This is the fully loaded choice, with the richest materials and the most premium presentation. It suits you if you want the most luxurious version and are willing to pay for it.

Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park and rear occupant alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Genesis G80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $52,804, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Genesis G80's resale value?

The current average of $53,026 sits slightly below last year's $55,395.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already moved through some of its depreciation, which can help future resale stability if demand stays steady. For you as a seller, the current market shows that buyers still value the G80’s mix of luxury features and pricing. The strongest versions should hold up better if they remain clean, well maintained, and properly equipped.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Genesis G80 safe?

The 2025 Genesis G80 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick-level result from IIHS? No — the IIHS result is mixed, with Good marks in small front and side crashes and front pedestrian avoidance, Acceptable marks for headlights, forward collision avoidance and LATCH ease of use, and a Marginal result in moderate front crashes and seat belt reminders.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis equips most driver-assistance aids as standard, including forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, speed limit assist, forward and rear park-distance warning, blind-spot avoidance tech, and Highway Drive Assist. Upper trims add side park-distance warning and assist, Smart Park, rear occupant alert, and a blind-spot monitor with a video feed in the gauge cluster.

The main caveat is that the IIHS results are not uniformly strong, so you should pay attention to the specific safety equipment on the trim you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Genesis G80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines a refreshed design, a 27-inch OLED display, and strong value in a midsize luxury sedan.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It leans into old-school elegance with a more authentic luxury-sedan feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better-value buy, the 2025 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is available. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer take and a more traditional luxury personality, the 2026 is the alternative to watch.
