Used 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty for Sale nearMerced, CA

How much does the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty cost?

Prices have softened 15.26% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,158 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare across trims and equipment levels.

Is the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty a good car?

The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty earns a 7.33/10 expert rating, and the overall package is built around serious capability, a wide range of configurations, and a cabin that can be configured for work or luxury use. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

That makes it especially appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that can tow and haul at a class-leading level while still offering comfort and technology. The trade-offs are that the price can climb quickly with options and many safety features are not standard, so you need to pay close attention to equipment levels.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 31.5% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty reliable?

The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty is presented as a rock-solid, body-on-frame heavy-duty truck with construction that feels appropriately sturdy for demanding use. Its powertrain lineup is broad, and the available diesel options are described as delivering serious towing and hauling strength with impressive torque.

The truck’s heavy-duty mission also shapes the ownership experience: it is built to work hard, but the ride is firm and bouncy, steering is vague, and the truck can wander within its lane on the highway. The available lane-keep assist helps, but it does not fully solve the truck’s size-related driving demands.

Ford also includes useful towing and load-management tech such as trailer brake control, trailer tire-pressure monitoring, camera views, and onboard scales, which should help you manage the truck’s workload more confidently. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about basic toughness and more about whether you can live with the size, complexity, and higher running costs that come with a heavily equipped heavy-duty truck.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, hauling, or off-road driving. Focus on wear items that can reveal hard use, and pay close attention to whether the equipment on the truck matches the way you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim starts with analog gauges and an 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add much richer materials, a 12-inch infotainment screen, and a 12-inch digital instrument panel. The base trim also misses some of the more upscale comfort and tech touches found higher up the lineup.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 6.8-liter V8 gas engine, a 7.3-liter gasoline V8, and two diesel options, including a high-output Power Stroke diesel with 1,200 lb-ft of torque. All versions use a 10-speed automatic transmission, and all but the base XL trim come standard with 4WD.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard on the XLT trim, while the Lariat adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking proximity sensors with automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and rain-sensing wipers. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a head-up display are standard on the King Ranch trim and above.
• Infotainment: Higher trims get a 12-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital instrument panel, while lower trims start with an 8-inch touchscreen and analog gauges. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard and wireless throughout the lineup, and the wireless charging pad appears only on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: Heavy-duty trucks are exempt from official fuel economy estimates, but the truck averaged around 15 mpg in mixed driving without a load or trailer.

Which 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty is offered in 5 trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and plan to add only the equipment you truly need.
• XLT: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking while staying below the more expensive luxury-oriented versions.
• Lariat: This is the smart step-up if you want a better mix of comfort and safety, since it adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking proximity sensors with automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and rain-sensing wipers.
• King Ranch: This is the right choice if you want more of the premium convenience set, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a head-up display.
• Platinum: This is the luxury pick, with the richest materials and the most upscale presentation, but it is best suited to buyers who are willing to pay for top-end comfort and appearance.

Safety features remain limited on lower trims, so if you want more driver-assistance equipment, you should shop at least the Lariat or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right truck.

• Deal availability: 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $65,158, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $65,158 sits slightly below last year's $76,893.

That drop suggests the market has moved in your favor if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may face softer resale conditions than owners saw a year ago. If you plan to keep the truck for a while, the current pricing can help offset some of the long-term ownership cost. If you expect to resell soon, the recent decline is a reminder to buy carefully and avoid overpaying for options that may not return their full value later.

Is the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty safe?

The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty does not have crash-test results from either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford does include standard trailer sway damping and a trailer brake controller, but many other safety features are reserved for higher trims or the option list. Forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking is standard on the XLT, the Lariat adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking proximity sensors with automatic braking, a surround-view camera system, and rain-sensing wipers, and adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and a head-up display are standard on the King Ranch and above.

One important caveat is that Ford’s Blue Cruise hands-free highway driving system is not offered on Super Duty trucks. The truck’s elevated ride height also makes it more prone to rollovers, so you should factor that into how and where you plan to drive it.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.26% compared with last year.
• The 2025 model is described as a versatile workhorse with unbeaten 23,000-pound towing capacity and a deep roster of configurations.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad configuration choice, and class-leading towing capability, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also shop nearby model years, but the 2025’s softened pricing makes it the cleaner starting point for most used-truck buyers.
