Used 2025 Ford F-150 for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2025 Ford F-150 cost?

Prices have softened 17.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 16,793 listings available, which suggests solid inventory availability for shoppers comparing trims and configurations.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Ford F-150 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The overview points to a truck with exceptional breadth: three cab styles, three bed lengths, eight trim levels, and six powertrains, so you can tailor it to work, daily driving, or something in between. The expert review also highlights strong substance behind that flexibility, including impressive technology and capability on and off the road.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and poor maneuverability, which are worth weighing if you spend a lot of time in tight city spaces or care most about efficiency. The market shows 34.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview and expert review both frame the F-150 as a highly versatile truck that can handle a wide range of jobs without giving up everyday usefulness. The performance notes also point to broad capability across the lineup, with strong engines and configurations that support towing, hauling, and general utility.

The cost-effectiveness commentary is more cautious, describing the truck as average on value even though it remains highly capable. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a truck this large and complex can bring higher running costs if you prioritize efficiency and easy maneuvering.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford F-150?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, off-roading, or heavy daily work. Focus on overall condition, because a well-equipped full-size truck can hide wear in the cabin, suspension, and exterior trim even when the listing looks clean.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tremor stands out as one of the off-road-focused versions, building on the XLT with a standard V8 engine, off-roading equipment, and exclusive design details. It also adds body-color and black exterior details, Active Orange accents, and unique wheels, while the cabin gets orange accents and Tremor branding.
• Powertrain: The Tremor’s standard 5.0-liter V8 makes 400 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the optional twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 is described as more capable and more fuel efficient. The V8 is praised for its sound and strong everyday punch.
• Safety package: New features include oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, and Active Blind-Spot Assist. BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription.
• Infotainment: The truck uses a 12-inch productivity screen and a 12-inch Sync 4 infotainment touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are onboard, and the native navigation and voice recognition systems are strong.
• Fuel efficiency: The Tremor V8 is rated at 17 mpg combined, while the optional EcoBoost V6 achieves 18 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Ford F-150 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford F-150 is offered in 8 trim levels: XL, XLT, Tremor, Raptor, Raptor R, Lariat, Platinum, and Platinum Plus.

Here's the short version:

• XL: This is the entry point if you want the F-150’s core capability at the lowest rung of the lineup. It makes the most sense if you care more about utility than luxury, but the broader review makes clear that the lower-priced versions can feel sparse.
• XLT: This is the trim that the Tremor builds on, so it sits in the middle of the lineup and should be the volume choice for many shoppers. It’s the best-value starting point if you want a balance of equipment, flexibility, and price.
• Tremor: This is the best fit if you want off-road capability without jumping all the way to the most extreme versions. It adds a standard V8, off-road-tuned suspension, skid plates, locking rear axle, recovery hooks, and Trail Control, making it the standout choice for trail use.
• Raptor: This is one of the more serious off-road-focused versions, positioned above the Tremor. It suits buyers who want a more specialized performance-oriented truck and are willing to pay for it.
• Raptor R: This is the most extreme off-road-focused version mentioned, and it sits above the Raptor. It’s for buyers who want the most aggressive capability in the lineup.
• Lariat: This is the gateway to BlueCruise, which becomes standard starting here. It’s the trim to target if hands-free driving tech matters to you.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice for buyers who want a more upscale pickup without going all the way to the top package.
• Platinum Plus: This new option package is aimed at buyers who want extra decadence and the most luxurious feel in the lineup.

BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford F-150?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 16,793 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,498, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $48,498 sits slightly below last year's $59,131.

That drop suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face more price pressure than owners did a year ago. If you buy now, you’re entering at a softer point in the cycle, which can help limit depreciation risk compared with a hotter market.

The F-150’s broad appeal and strong demand across many use cases should still support resale interest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford F-150 safe?

The F-150 earns a five-star overall rating and a four-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA, and it scores well in IIHS testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety suite adds oncoming-traffic detection for automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, intersection braking assist, predictive speed assist, Road Edge Detection, and Active Blind-Spot Assist. BlueCruise is standard starting with the Lariat trim and includes a one-year trial subscription, but it is not infallible and still requires you to stay ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford F-150 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds new driver-assistance systems and a Platinum Plus package for buyers seeking more luxury.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,913, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,498 average.
• It handles family duty, hauling, and towing with best-in-class capability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the F-150’s unusually wide range of configurations and reshuffles equipment rather than reinventing the truck.

The bottom line: If you want the newest safety and convenience updates, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want to compare the next model year’s equipment mix before buying.
