Used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale nearPortland, OR

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 10.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,795 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns an expert rating of 7.7/10.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 redesign gives you a more truck-inspired look, new standard tech, and new standard safety features, which helps it feel fresher and more appealing if you want a compact SUV with added value. It also brings a new trim aimed at buyers who want a little more weekend-ready character.

The trade-offs are that the cargo area is small for the class and the voice assistant can be finicky.

You also get a strong market signal from the fact that 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is presented as a fresh redesign with new transmissions and updated standard equipment, which gives you a modern starting point for ownership. Its single 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is paired with a CVT in FWD models and an eight-speed automatic in AWD models, and the eight-speed is described as an improvement over the old six-speed.

The ride is described as fairly quiet and comfortable outside of harder acceleration or highway merging, which suggests the powertrain should feel easy to live with in normal use. Standard wireless smartphone projection, Google Built-In, Chevy Safety Assist, and Teen Driver Technology also point to a well-equipped daily driver.

Chevrolet also includes standard wireless smartphone capability and safety tech that should reduce the need for immediate add-ons. For long-term ownership, the main risk for used buyers is that a first-year redesign can bring more uncertainty than a carryover model, so a careful test drive and inspection matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering an AWD example or a higher-trim vehicle with more equipment to verify. Focus on overall condition, how the tech works in real use, and whether the cabin and cargo area fit your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the now-base trim and comes with 17-inch wheels, while RS adds black mirrors and badges, a larger grille opening, red RS emblems, and standard 19-inch wheels. ACTIV is the new trim with dark chrome accents, simpler grille inserts, 17-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires, but the content still says off-road capability is minimal even here.
• Powertrain: You get a single 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 175 horsepower. FWD models use a CVT, while AWD models use an eight-speed automatic, and AWD also brings more torque plus selectable drive modes including Off-Road mode.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. The available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard touchscreen is 11.3 inches, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. Google Built-In is standard too, along with wi-fi hotspot capability and a six-speaker audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, RS, ACTIV.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the best-value starting point because it gives you the sub-$30k entry price, standard wireless smartphone projection, and the core safety and tech equipment without pushing you into the pricier style-focused trims.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier look, with black mirrors and badges, a larger grille opening, red RS emblems, standard 19-inch wheels, and available 20-inch wheels for the first time on Equinox.
• ACTIV: Pick this if you want the most adventure-flavored appearance, with dark chrome accents, simpler grille inserts, all-terrain tires, and a unique interior theme that lightens the cabin.

The available Safety & Technology package can be added to any trim for extra driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,795 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,104, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $25,830 sits slightly below last year's $28,901.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you sell later, your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well the market absorbs this redesign and whether demand stays strong for its updated tech and safety package.

For now, the softer pricing gives you a better entry point than buyers had a year ago. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and avoid overpaying today, you should be in a better position when it’s time to trade or sell.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. Teen Driver Technology is also standard, letting you set limits and monitor driving behavior for younger drivers.

An available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror for $1,085. That means you can add more visibility and awareness tech if you want a fuller safety setup.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.
• It brings a redesigned cabin, new standard tech, and new standard safety features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $27,387, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $25,830 average.
• It adds a standard drive mode selector and a new Polar White exterior color.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it delivers the redesign benefits at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and only want modest updates, the 2026 is the cleaner alternative.
