How much does the 2025 BMW 5 Series cost?

Prices have softened 13.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,042 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series a good car?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series stands out as a midsize luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a lot of technology and a noticeably larger footprint than before. For you, that means a roomier cabin, a fully modernized design, and a lineup that includes both gas-powered and electric options depending on what you want from the car.

The tradeoff is that the cabin’s technology can take time to learn, and some of the most desirable driver-assistance features are extra-cost items. The smaller trunk also means the added size does not translate into more cargo space.

With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of value-oriented options to consider.

Is the 2025 BMW 5 Series reliable?

The 2025 BMW 5 Series is presented as a well-equipped luxury sedan with a broad range of active-safety features and a modern cabin layout. Its appeal comes from the combination of performance, technology, and a larger interior than before.

For long-term ownership, your main risk is that the car’s complexity and option-dependent features can make upkeep and feature satisfaction more dependent on how the vehicle was configured and maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s equipment matches the listing, especially if you want the more desirable driver-assistance features. Prioritize an inspection that checks the electronics, infotainment usability, and overall condition, since this model leans heavily on technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW 5 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,042 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,869, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW 5 Series's resale value?

The current average of $47,869 sits slightly below last year's $55,643.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your future value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car is equipped. A clean, well-optioned example should hold up better than one with missing features or visible wear.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW 5 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.97% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $43,311, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $47,869 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, quietness, and a smooth ride over driving excitement.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $58,253, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $47,869 average.
• It offers a more balanced mix of comfort, technology, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best primary path if you want the newest version at a softened market price and you value the updated design and tech. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want to spend more for a more polished all-around package.
