Used 2025 Audi S5 for Sale near Hillsborough, NJ

Is the 2025 Audi S5 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Audi S5 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Technology.

It stands out as a performance-tuned sportback that blends driving enjoyment with everyday usefulness. The overview describes it as updated and mostly upgraded, with a stealthy design, thrilling dynamics, and enough room for a family of four, so it fits you best if you want something that feels special on a favorite back road but still works as a practical luxury vehicle.

The main trade-offs are that the styling is uninspired and the highway ride can be noisy, while the driver assistance tech is unimpressive. Even so, the car’s fun-to-drive character, cargo space, and technology make it a strong fit if you value performance and versatility more than flashy looks or the most advanced assistance systems.

Good and great deals account for 33.1% of listings, which suggests there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview and expert evaluation both point to a car that feels well-rounded in daily use, with strong performance, useful packaging, and a polished cabin. The performance notes also describe the engine as a deeply satisfying powerplant with seemingly limitless power, which supports the idea that the S5 should feel robust and rewarding over time.

The cost-effectiveness notes also mention a generous trial subscription to connected services. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the car’s advanced tech and driver-assistance systems may be more frustrating than reassuring if they are not working as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi S5?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features behave as expected during a test drive.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Premium gives you the core Sportback packaging and a comprehensive standard equipment set, while Premium Plus and Prestige add more luxury and convenience features. The base trim already includes a broad safety suite, so the main question is whether you want the extra tech and comfort upgrades.
• Powertrain: The S5 uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. It makes 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, and the performance notes emphasize strong acceleration and a deeply satisfying power delivery.
• Safety package: Premium includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist. Premium Plus and Prestige add Adaptive Cruise Assist, which brings lane-centering assist, plus a surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, with a 10.9-inch passenger screen on Prestige. The system supports wireless-style convenience through Audi’s connected interface, and the voice assistant is described as prompt and accurate.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert notes say the official EPA fuel economy rating is 22 mpg in combined city and highway driving, and the test loop returned 21.8 mpg.

Which 2025 Audi S5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi S5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Premium: This is the trim to start with if you want the S5’s core performance, cargo-friendly Sportback body, and a strong standard safety package without paying for extras you may not need. It gives you the essential S5 experience and is the best-value choice if you care most about the driving character.
• Premium Plus: This is the sweet spot if you want a more complete luxury and tech experience. It adds a head-up display and a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and it also unlocks Adaptive Cruise Assist with lane-centering, plus the surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus.
• Prestige: Choose this if you want the most fully loaded S5. It adds the front passenger touchscreen and the adaptive-damping sport suspension, and it is the trim to get if you want the most advanced cabin presentation and the most polished feature set.

Premium Plus or Prestige also bring Adaptive Cruise Assist, which adds lane-centering assist to the standard adaptive cruise control.

Is the 2025 Audi S5 safe?

The 2025 Audi S5 does not have a crash-test rating cited in the provided data.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Audi S5 Premium includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, front and rear parking sensors, safe exit warning, and Emergency Assist. Premium Plus and Prestige add Adaptive Cruise Assist, which brings lane-centering assist, along with a surround-view camera system and Park Assist Plus.

The safety write-up also flags a shortcoming: the lane-assist system can be overly aggressive and inconsistent, and the car does not offer hands-free traffic jam assist or hands-free highway capability at this price.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi S5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a redesigned, mostly upgraded package with thrilling dynamics and the new Audi Digital Stage tech.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds familiar controls and an all-new MMI system with AI-enhanced voice controls.

The bottom line: If you want the more established version of the redesigned S5, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more interested in the next step forward in controls and infotainment, the 2026 is worth waiting for. Price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025, especially if they can find a clean example with the right trim and options.

How does the 2025 Audi S5 compare to the 2025 BMW M4?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2025 Audi S5:

• Pros: Fun to drive, Plenty of cargo space, Impressive Audi Digital Stage tech.
• Cons: Uninspired styling, Noisy on the highway, Unimpressive driver assist tech.

2025 BMW M4:

• Pros: Fast, Fun to drive, Four-passenger seating.
• Cons: Expensive, Hit-and-miss tech, Cramped back seat.

Our experts score the 2025 Audi S5 7/10 and the 2025 BMW M4 8.2/10. The Audi looks like the more practical choice if you want cargo space and a more useful daily-driver layout, while the BMW leans harder into outright speed and a more focused performance identity. The S5’s tech is a highlight, but its driver-assist setup is a weak point; the M4’s tech is less consistent, and its back seat is tighter.
