How much does the 2025 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 9.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,271 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and pricing.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns an 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2025 MDX fits you well if you want a three-row luxury SUV with simple controls, intuitive technology, and a refined driving feel. Acura’s updates make the cabin easier to use, and the SUV’s comfortable ride and upscale presentation support its appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: the standard V6 is somewhat underwhelming, and the MDX is not a fuel-efficient choice. The third row is also cramped, so it works better if you value style, comfort, and usability over maximum space or efficiency.

With 38.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura MDX is presented as a stylish, reliable, and safe SUV with simple controls and a refined cabin. Acura’s updates emphasize sophistication and ease of use, and the standard powertrain is described as tried-and-true rather than experimental.

The performance notes point to a smooth, predictable driving character, with body motions that stay controlled and easy to trust. In everyday use, it feels firm and communicative in town, quiet on the highway, and capable of handling commuting and road trips with ease.

Acura also includes the first scheduled maintenance visit during the first year or 12,000 miles of ownership, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the MDX’s efficiency and third-row space limitations may become more noticeable over time if your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura MDX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, verify service records, and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a trim with more equipment. Focus on cabin condition, infotainment operation, and how the SUV drives in normal traffic, since those are central to the MDX’s appeal.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model starts with a new grille, revised front bumper, darkened headlights and taillights, and a nicely equipped cabin, but higher trims add more luxury and visual presence. The MDX Advance and MDX A-Spec Advance also gain the seats from last year’s Type S model, while the Type S gets a new seat design.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-liter V6 makes 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque through a 10-speed automatic. SH-AWD is optional on the base and Technology trims, standard starting with A-Spec, and lower trims use front-wheel drive.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with Technology, you also get front and rear parking sensors plus low-speed automatic braking. AcuraWatch 360 is exclusive to the Type S Advance.
• Infotainment: The new system uses a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Alexa Built-in and Google Built-in, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also supports AcuraLink connected services and an AT&T 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: The MDX is not an efficient SUV, and the standard V6 is described as fuel-thirsty. The A-Spec Advance is rated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 18.4 mpg on a mixed evaluation loop.

Which 2025 Acura MDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura MDX is offered in 6 trim levels: MDX base, MDX Technology, MDX A-Spec, MDX Advance, MDX A-Spec Advance, MDX Type S Advance.

Here's the short version:

• MDX base: This is the entry point, but it is still nicely equipped and gives you the refreshed design, the new touchscreen system, and the core AcuraWatch safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the extra luxury and convenience features higher trims add.
• MDX Technology: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds front and rear parking sensors, low-speed automatic braking, and a stronger audio setup. It also keeps the MDX’s easy-to-use tech and adds meaningful everyday convenience without jumping too far in price.
• MDX A-Spec: Choose this if you want a sportier look and standard SH-AWD. It adds more visual presence and a more performance-flavored feel, while still staying focused on road use rather than chasing outright performance.
• MDX Advance: This trim leans into comfort and luxury, and it gains the upgraded seats that trickle down from last year’s Type S. It suits you if you want a more premium cabin and are willing to pay for it.
• MDX A-Spec Advance: This is the most luxurious non-Type S choice and blends the sportier appearance with maximum comfort and upscale equipment. It is the right pick if you want the richest feature mix without stepping into the performance model.
• MDX Type S Advance: This is the top trim and the one to choose if you want the strongest acceleration and handling. It also gets AcuraWatch 360, but it is the most expensive route and not the best fit if you’re mainly shopping for value.

The safety package starts with AcuraWatch on every trim, while AcuraWatch 360 is reserved for the Type S Advance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting for a dramatic bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,271 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,076, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $48,076 sits slightly below last year's $53,287.

That softer pricing can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means the MDX has already absorbed some depreciation. If you plan to sell later, your return will depend heavily on trim choice, mileage, and condition.

The good news is that the MDX’s strong reputation for style, comfort, and safety should help it remain appealing to used shoppers. The downside is that its lack of a hybrid option and weaker fuel economy may limit demand compared with more efficient rivals.

Is the 2025 Acura MDX safe?

The 2025 Acura MDX earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Traffic Jam Assist. Starting with the Technology trim, you also get front and rear parking sensors and low-speed automatic braking.

AcuraWatch 360 debuts for 2025 as an exclusive feature on the Type S Advance. It adds front cross-traffic alert, evasive steering warning, active lane-change assist, and cornering speed assist.

The main caveat is that the standard lane-departure warning can feel less natural than some rivals’ systems, and the lane-centering setup can feel unnatural when used in a way that the system doesn’t prefer.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.78% compared with last year.
• The refreshed cabin and new infotainment system make the MDX easier and more appealing to live with.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $41,695, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $48,076 average.
• It is a well-rounded luxury SUV with strong engines and sharp handling.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the refreshed formula and remains comfortable, quiet, and easy to use.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date MDX experience, the 2025 is the better target because the refresh improves usability and cabin appeal. If price matters more than freshness, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 is best if you want the same basic formula with only minor changes.
