Used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale nearTulsa, OK

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 7.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,327 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The Tiguan’s appeal comes from its premium looks, standard safety equipment, and value-oriented positioning for shoppers who want a compact SUV that feels a bit more upscale than its price suggests. The trade-offs are a driving experience that did not impress, an irritating throttle, and uncomfortable seats.

If you want style and standard safety features more than sporty dynamics, this year’s Tiguan fits that brief well. Good and great deals account for 40.5% of listings, which suggests you have room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tiguan’s reliability story is helped by its solid warranty coverage and standard scheduled maintenance coverage, which can reduce early ownership costs. The model also benefits from a straightforward gasoline powertrain and a conventional automatic transmission, both of which can be reassuring for used buyers.

Volkswagen’s coverage includes two years or 20,000 miles of scheduled maintenance and three years of roadside assistance, which adds some ownership peace of mind. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that comfort and drivability complaints may matter more as mileage adds up.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on seat comfort, throttle response, and how the infotainment and driver-assistance systems behave in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Tiguan S is the most stripped-down version, with a 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, two USB-C ports, cloth seating surfaces, and grayscale color choices only. Higher trims add features such as leatherette upholstery, a power tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, and real leather, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want a more upscale cabin.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Tiguan uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while 4Motion all-wheel drive is available on the lower trims and standard on the top trim.
• Safety package: IQ.DRIVE is standard and includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go, active blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, Lane Assist, Travel Assist, and Emergency Assist. Standard equipment also includes rear cross-traffic alert, automatic post-collision braking, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: The Tiguan uses an 8-inch center touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the base S trim gets a 6.5-inch screen. Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit System is standard, and the top trim gets the fully configurable 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro display.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD version of the base Tiguan is rated at 25 mpg combined, and AWD trims with the sporty R-Line designation are rated at 24 mpg combined.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SE, SE R-Line, SEL R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is also the most basic version, with the smallest infotainment screen, cloth seats, and the fewest convenience features. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Tiguan, but it is not the best value if you care about cabin polish.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds eight-way power driver’s seat adjustability, leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a power tailgate. It gives you a much more complete everyday experience without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• SE R-Line: This trim adds a panoramic sunroof and brings a sportier appearance, making it a good fit if you want more style and a richer feature set than the SE.
• SEL R-Line: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather, front-seat ventilation, a heated steering wheel, driver’s seat memory, and an eight-way power front passenger seat. It suits you best if you want the most comfort and convenience features.

IQ.DRIVE is standard across the lineup, and Park Distance Control becomes standard at the SE R-Line Black trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market for the 2024 Tiguan, with decent deal availability, strong accident-free inventory, and a softer price trend than last year.

• Deal availability: 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,327 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,852, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $23,956 sits slightly below last year's $25,777.

That price movement suggests the Tiguan has become more affordable for used buyers, which can make it easier to move later if you buy at the right price. If you purchase near the low end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure. Strong standard equipment and broad shopper appeal can also help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan safe?

The Volkswagen Tiguan earned a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Volkswagen’s IQ.DRIVE suite is standard, and it brings adaptive cruise control with stop and go, active blind-spot monitoring with steering intervention, Lane Assist, Travel Assist, and Emergency Assist. Standard safety equipment also includes rear cross-traffic alert, automatic post-collision braking, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.

One trim-level note to keep in mind is that Park Distance Control becomes standard at the SE R-Line Black trim level. The main caveat is that the Tiguan’s strongest safety story is tied to its standard driver-assistance content rather than a newly published 2024 crash-test result.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard IQ.DRIVE safety tech and a more premium feel than before.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $21,809, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $23,956 average.
• It offers more interior space and a third-row seat.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $29,571, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $23,956 average.
• It brings an all-new design and improved user interface.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, standard safety equipment, and upscale styling, the 2024 is the strongest all-around choice. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the better value play; if you want the newest redesign, look to the 2025.

How does the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan compare to the 2024 Honda CR-V?

The Tiguan is the cheaper used buy and has a slightly better deal share, while the CR-V delivers stronger fuel economy and more horsepower. If you want lower purchase cost and a more premium-feeling cabin, the Tiguan makes sense; if efficiency matters more, the CR-V has the edge.
