How much does the 2024 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 7.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,587 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Toyota Sienna earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It fits well if you want a family hauler that stays true to the minivan formula while offering three rows of seating, power sliding doors, and standard safety features. The trade-offs are that performance is fairly pedestrian and the technology is looking a bit outdated. The Sienna’s value proposition is strongest if you prioritize efficiency and everyday usefulness over driving excitement.

34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Toyota Sienna’s hybrid setup is built around efficiency and everyday practicality, and the expert review describes it as a strong value for families. It also emphasizes that the minivan is comfy and spacious, which usually helps ownership feel easier over time. Toyota’s hybrid powertrain and battery coverage add another layer of reassurance, and buyers also get two years or 25,000 miles of scheduled maintenance.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a well-used family minivan can show wear in the cabin and sliding-door hardware, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping from the lower end of the price range. Focus on cabin condition, seat operation, and signs of heavy family use, since those are the areas most likely to show wear in a minivan. It also helps to confirm that the safety and tech features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Sienna’s trim ladder ranges from LE to Platinum, with the XSE adding a sportier look and the Woodland Edition leaning toward a more rugged appearance. Base trims get cloth seats and the simpler cabin setup, while upper trims add features like Bi-LED projector headlamps, leather-trimmed heated and cooled front seats, and a built-in vacuum cleaner.
• Powertrain: Every Sienna uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with two electric motors, and AWD versions add a rear motor for traction. The result is 245 horsepower, with efficiency as the main draw rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense is standard and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The lane-keeping assist can feel a bit loose, so it’s worth testing on your own route.
• Infotainment: You get a nine-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a standard Wi-Fi hotspot and SiriusXM satellite radio. The system is older, but physical buttons for common functions can make it easier to live with.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid powertrain returns 36 mpg in front-wheel-drive form, with AWD models running a bit lower. The review also notes that real-world economy can still be very strong for a family vehicle.

Which 2024 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value-focused starting point, and it gives you the Sienna’s core strengths without pushing the price up. If you want the most affordable path into the hybrid minivan formula, this is the trim to start with.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top of the range. It’s the sweet spot if you want a nicer daily experience while keeping the Sienna’s efficiency and family-friendly layout.
• XSE: This trim leans into style with a sportier look, including a black metallic mesh grille, black heated side mirrors, and 20-inch dark wheels. It suits you if you want the most distinctive appearance in the lineup.
• Woodland Edition: This is the trim to consider if you want the most rugged-leaning version, with roof rails, crossbars, a tow hitch, and a bit more ground clearance. It’s the right pick if you like the idea of a more outdoorsy Sienna.
• Limited: This trim moves you further upmarket with more premium equipment and a more polished feel. It makes sense if you want a more upscale family hauler without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum: This is the most fully equipped version and is the one to choose if you want the most features and the highest-end presentation. It’s best if you plan to keep the vehicle a long time and want the richest equipment set.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the lineup, so even lower trims get the core driver-assistance package.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,587 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,948, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $44,022 sits slightly below last year's $47,350.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples with strong maintenance history should still hold appeal because the Sienna’s efficiency and family usefulness remain major selling points.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2024 Toyota Sienna earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side crash protection from NHTSA. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it a Good rating in crashworthiness and seat belt and child restraint systems.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard across the board and includes lane departure alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, road sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. That gives you a broad set of driver aids even on lower trims.

One caveat is that front crash prevention was rated Average by IIHS, and the lane-keeping assist can feel a bit side-to-side in use.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong efficiency with standard safety features and a practical three-row layout.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $40,492, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $44,022 average.
• It offers a practical, fuel-efficient hybrid setup with strong family-friendly space.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $45,361, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $44,022 average.
• It adds a quieter, easier-to-use feel with more appealing everyday refinement.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-year availability and value, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If price matters most, the 2023 is the better budget-minded alternative, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer-feeling option and are willing to pay more.
