Used 2024 Toyota Sequoia for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2024 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 8.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,340 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Sequoia earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

It stands out in the full-size SUV class because it comes with a standard hybrid powertrain, which gives you a distinctive mix of improved fuel economy and stronger towing and hauling ability. It also brings standard advanced safety features, easy-to-use technology, and a generous amount of premium equipment.

The main trade-offs are that it is not especially spacious, and its cargo area and third row are both compromised by battery placement. That makes it a better fit if you want efficiency and utility more than maximum interior room.

38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Toyota’s reputation for long-term reliability further supports the Sequoia’s appeal, and the standard hybrid setup adds a modern powertrain to the mix. The expert review also notes that the Sequoia offers a compelling combination of strengths, with the hybrid system helping it balance towing ability and fuel economy.

Toyota’s three-year/36,000-mile comprehensive warranty and five-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage add some ownership reassurance. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the packaging compromises that affect cargo and third-row space are built into the design, so they won’t go away with age.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Sequoia?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the truck has not had hidden damage or major repairs. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important if you plan to use the Sequoia for towing or family hauling, since those duties can expose wear more quickly. Focus on interior condition, especially the third row and cargo area, because those spaces are already a compromise in this model.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR5 gives you fabric seating surfaces, while higher trims add more upscale materials such as SofTex, leather, or semi-aniline leather. You also get more premium equipment as you move up, including a panoramic moonroof on Platinum and Capstone, while the base trim is more straightforward.
• Powertrain: The Sequoia uses Toyota’s iForce MAX hybrid powertrain with a twin-turbo V6 and electric motor. It is rated at 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque, and it is the only powertrain offered.
• Safety package: Every trim gets Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road-sign recognition. You also get front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Trailer Merge Warning.
• Infotainment: SR5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen, while every other trim gets a 14-inch center touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system is designed to be easy to use.
• Fuel efficiency: The Sequoia is rated for 20 mpg combined with 4WD.

Which 2024 Toyota Sequoia trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia is offered in 6 trim levels: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, Capstone, and TRD Off-Road package.

Here's the short version:

• SR5: This is the value play if you want the Sequoia’s standard hybrid powertrain, full safety suite, and the strongest towing capability in the lineup. It is also the least expensive path into the model, though it keeps the simpler 8-inch touchscreen and more basic interior materials.
• Limited: This trim adds a more upscale feel and is a smart middle ground if you want more comfort and available equipment without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented upper trims. It is a strong choice if you want a balanced mix of features and price.
• Platinum: This is the best fit if you want a more premium cabin, standard leather, the panoramic moonroof, and more available tech. It is the trim to consider if comfort and upscale equipment matter most.
• TRD Pro: This is the off-road-oriented choice, with 4WD, a skid plate, and a part-time system with 4Hi, 4Lo, and 2WD. It suits you best if you want the most adventure-ready version of the Sequoia.
• Capstone: This is the top luxury trim, with semi-aniline leather, standard panoramic moonroof, standard 14-speaker JBL audio, and a 10-inch head-up display. Choose it if you want the most premium Sequoia experience.
• TRD Off-Road package: This is not a separate trim, but it is worth noting because it adds all-terrain tires, a skid plate, TRD badging, off-road suspension with Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, Crawl Control, Multi-Terrain Select, and hill-descent control on eligible trims.

The Tow Technology Package is available on SR5 and Limited and standard on the higher three trims, so that is worth factoring in if you plan to tow often.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard hybrid power, strong towing ability, and standard safety features.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $59,910, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $64,338 average.
• It is a redesigned Sequoia with a more modern feel but tighter interior packaging.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $69,780, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $64,338 average.
• It adds the 1794 Edition luxury trim and more upscale appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, standard equipment, and hybrid efficiency, the 2024 is the strongest all-around pick. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 can save you money, but you should be ready for the same space compromises.
