Why it stands out
The 2024 Toyota 4Runner remains a solid choice for off-road enthusiasts, offering rugged durability and reliability that has become synonymous with the brand. Despite its aging design, with the last major redesign occurring over a decade ago, it provides an impressive off-roading experience thanks to features like four-wheel drive and a potent 4.0-liter V6 engine that generates 270 horsepower. Owners appreciate the spacious interior and the excellent visibility provided by its robust design. However, it's important to note that the 4Runner's performance on pavement may leave something to be desired, as handling and acceleration are not as responsive as newer rivals. Additionally, its fuel economy is less efficient compared to contemporaries, making it less ideal for daily driving. CarGurus experts note that while the 2024 model remains capable, prospective buyers might benefit from waiting for a potential redesign that is anticipated to bring modern features and improved performance.

This is one of the best cars on the market. The only thing i think its missing is a leveling kit. Having it sit a little higher i think makes it easier to see/ safer. The reliability and low car maintenance make this a great option for someone who doesnt want to spend money on repairs.
