Is the 2024 RAM 3500 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2024 RAM 3500. The overview points to a heavy-duty truck that combines serious towing and payload capability with a more upscale cabin and a long list of modern tech features, so it fits well if you want a work-capable truck that still feels refined in daily use. Its size can make it harder to manage in towns and cities, but the overall package is compelling if capability and comfort both matter to you. 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 RAM 3500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a truck built around serious capability, with a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for the Hemi models, which supports confidence in its underlying hardware. It also emphasizes a more upscale cabin and modern equipment, which can make ownership feel more polished over time. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the truck’s mission and more about finding one that has been maintained well given its heavy-duty workload.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the truck’s past use, then prioritize a thorough inspection of the frame, suspension, and any towing-related wear. Because this is a heavy-duty truck, condition matters a lot: look closely at signs of hard use, interior wear, and whether the truck’s equipment still works as intended. If you plan to tow, make sure the specific truck you’re considering matches your needs and has been cared for accordingly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,952 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.48% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $57,602, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $57,602 sits slightly below last year's $62,936.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the truck is equipped and maintained. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation. Heavy-duty trucks with broad appeal can hold attention well when they’re clean, well documented, and properly optioned.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.48% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the strongest mix of capability, comfort, and current-market value in this generation. If your priority is simply spending less, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2024 gives you a compelling balance of features and pricing.
