Is the 2024 Porsche 911 a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Porsche 911 earns a 4/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from the model’s long-running rear-engine layout, iconic styling, and wide performance range. The lineup spans from the entry-level Carrera to more focused variants, so you can shop for a version that fits everyday driving, touring, or serious track use. The tradeoff is that passenger and cargo space are limited, and the car is pricey new or used. Even so, its combination of distinctive design and strong all-around performance makes it a compelling choice if you want a sports car with real breadth. Good and great deals account for 31.9% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Porsche 911’s appeal is reinforced by its established formula: a long-running rear-engine layout, iconic styling, and a lineup that covers everything from daily driving to serious performance use. That kind of consistency can be reassuring when you’re shopping used, especially if you want a car with a clear identity and a proven enthusiast following. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying a premium for a car that still demands careful maintenance and condition checks.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report to confirm the car’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a high-value sports car where condition can vary widely by use. Focus on wear items, service records, and overall cosmetic and mechanical condition so you know whether the car has been driven gently or used hard.

What is the 2024 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $217,845 sits slightly above last year's $216,324.

That small increase suggests the market has remained stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to steady demand and fewer signs of rapid depreciation. The 911’s broad appeal across performance-focused and everyday-use buyers also helps support its long-term desirability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $222,145, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $217,845 average.
• It adds several special variants and a broader enthusiast-focused lineup.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $225,706, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $217,845 average.
• It brings the refreshed 992.2 generation with subtle updates and stronger everyday usability.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the primary path if you want a stable market, strong inventory quality, and the classic 911 formula without paying more for the newer model years. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 also looks like the smarter middle ground versus the 2023 and 2025, especially when you want a broad selection and a well-balanced ownership proposition.
