Used 2024 Polestar 2 for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 a good car?

The 2024 Polestar 2 earns a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

You get a stylish EV with impressive range and a fun-to-drive character, and the 2024 updates help keep it feeling fresh with revised styling, a range boost, and powertrain changes. The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and the car’s ergonomic design is poor, which can make daily use less satisfying than the driving experience suggests. It also lands as poor value for money, so the appeal is strongest if you prioritize design and driving enjoyment over feature content and price. Good and great deals account for 42.2% of listings, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 reliable?

The 2024 Polestar 2 is presented as a relatively new model from a still-young brand, but it benefits from an established automotive connection and a simple lineup. Its 2024 updates include a larger battery pack for the single-motor version, revised powertrain tuning, and a range boost, which supports the sense that the car is being actively refined rather than left to age unchanged.

The performance setup is straightforward: the single-motor model switches to rear-wheel drive, while the dual-motor version adds all-wheel drive. The battery warranty guarantees at least 70% of original capacity during the warranty period, and the first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the battery and charging history are healthy, since EV durability depends heavily on how the car was charged and maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Polestar 2?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or a car that has seen frequent DC fast charging. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the car’s software and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is simple, with Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor configurations. The single-motor setup is the value-oriented choice, while the dual-motor version adds all-wheel drive and stronger acceleration. The base car’s feature set is relatively lean, and advanced safety features are not standard.
• Powertrain: The single-motor model uses rear-wheel drive and makes 299 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque. The dual-motor version adds a front motor for all-wheel drive and increases output to 421 hp and 546 lb-ft in standard form.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The optional Pilot Pack, standard on AWD models, adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist highway-driving support.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.2-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in apps, Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play app store. Wireless Apple CarPlay is included, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is standard.
• Range & charging: The single-motor model is EPA-rated at up to 320 miles with the standard 19-inch wheels, while dual-motor versions are rated at 260 miles with 19-inch wheels. The single-motor model can DC fast charge at up to 205 kilowatts and go from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes; the dual-motor version is rated at 155 kW and 34 minutes. An 11-kW onboard charger can fully charge the battery in eight hours on a 240-volt Level 2 station.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how often the car was charged at home versus on DC fast chargers, and confirm the remaining battery-warranty coverage. A used EV with mostly home charging and normal daily use is generally the safer bet than one that has lived on fast chargers.

Which 2024 Polestar 2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Polestar 2 is offered in 2 trim levels: Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor.

Here's the short version:

• Long Range Single Motor: This is the best-value choice if you want the Polestar 2’s strongest range story and a rear-wheel-drive setup that helps the car feel more playful. It’s the trim to target if you care most about efficiency, everyday usability, and keeping purchase price in check.
• Long Range Dual Motor: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive and stronger acceleration. It adds the front motor and brings more performance, but it also costs more and gives up some range.

The optional Pilot Pack adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist, and it is standard on AWD models.
