Used 2024 Polestar 2 for Sale nearSanta Clarita, CA

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 a good car?

The 2024 Polestar 2 earns an 6.83/10 expert rating, and it’s a compelling pick if you want a stylish EV with impressive range and a fun-to-drive character. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10. The year’s updates — including a range boost, revised styling, and powertrain changes — help keep it feeling fresh, and the simple lineup makes it easy to shop. The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, the ergonomic design is poor, and it’s described as poor value for money. Even so, the market signal is favorable, with 53.4% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Polestar 2 reliable?

The 2024 Polestar 2’s reliability story is best understood through its EV hardware and warranty coverage. Its electric powertrain is described as delivering strong output and improved efficiency for 2024, and the single-motor version gains a larger battery pack along with a rear-drive layout that helps the car feel more eager in everyday driving. Polestar also includes an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty that guarantees at least 70% of original capacity during the warranty period, which is a meaningful ownership safeguard for a used EV. If you’re buying used, your long-term risk is mainly tied to battery condition, charging habits, and the usual wear items rather than traditional engine or transmission concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Polestar 2?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing cars with different wheel sizes, packs, or option bundles. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the car has the equipment you want, since some desirable features are not standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup is simple, but the base setup leaves out some desirable equipment. The car’s standard cloth seats and minimalist cabin keep things clean, while available upgrades can add a more premium feel and more convenience.
• Powertrain: The single-motor model switches to rear-wheel drive for 2024, makes 299 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque, and uses an 82-kWh battery pack. The dual-motor version adds front-wheel drive for all-wheel drive, makes 421 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque, and the Performance Pack raises output to 455 horsepower.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. For 2024, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system are standard as well. The optional Pilot Pack adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist.
• Infotainment: You get an 11.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Google Built-in apps, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The system is screen-centric, so make sure you’re comfortable with most vehicle functions living in menus.
• Range & charging: The single-motor model is rated at up to 320 miles with 19-inch wheels and 302 miles with 20-inch wheels. Dual-motor versions are rated at 260 miles with 19-inch wheels, 266 miles with 20-inch wheels, and 247 miles with the Performance Pack. DC fast charging goes up to 205 kilowatts on the single-motor model and 155 kilowatts on the dual-motor version, with 10% to 80% charging times of 28 minutes and 34 minutes, respectively.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, ask how the car was typically charged, and look for signs of heavy DC fast-charging use versus regular home charging. Also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains, since that coverage can matter a lot on a used EV.

Which 2024 Polestar 2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Polestar 2 is offered in 2 trim levels: Long Range Single Motor and Long Range Dual Motor.

Here's the short version:

• Long Range Single Motor: This is the better-value choice if you want the longest range and the lower starting price. It gets the rear-drive setup, the larger battery, and the strongest range figure in the lineup, making it the smartest pick for most used buyers.
• Long Range Dual Motor: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive and quicker acceleration. It adds more power and stronger straight-line performance, but it costs more and gives up some range.

The optional Pilot Pack adds adaptive cruise control and Pilot Assist, while the standard safety suite already includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
