Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out in the compact SUV class because it offers a standard third row, giving you seven-passenger seating that many rivals do not match. You also get a more modern cabin, a larger infotainment touchscreen, and a broad set of standard driver-assistance features, making it a practical choice if you want extra seating and a well-equipped interior. The market also shows 34.4% of listings as good or great deals, which adds to its appeal if you are shopping carefully.

Is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Outlander is described as quiet in the cabin for most driving, and its comfort-focused tuning should suit everyday use. It also comes with a broad set of standard safety and driver-assistance features, which can help reduce stress in daily ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its value retention is hurt by accelerated depreciation, so condition and price matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the vehicle has no hidden accident or title issues. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, and overall wear, since those are the kinds of systems and surfaces you will use every day. Focus on condition and maintenance records, especially if you want the best chance of avoiding ownership headaches later.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,571 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,635, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $22,635 sits slightly below last year's $25,193.

That drop suggests the Outlander has been depreciating faster than many shoppers would prefer, which can weigh on future resale expectations. If you buy used, that can work in your favor up front, but it also means you should be realistic about how much value you may recover later. A lower entry price can soften the impact, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $25,495, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $22,635 average.
• It adds refreshed tech, a new sound system, and improved suspension tuning.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for updated tech and a fresher feel, the 2025 is the better secondary path, especially if comfort and new features matter more than upfront savings.
