How much does the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class cost?

Prices have softened 5.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 973 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class a good car?

Generally — the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class earns a 4/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a flagship luxury sedan. The overview points to a model that emphasizes advanced technology, craftsmanship, and a thoroughly modern cabin experience, including the second-generation MBUX interface and available multi-screen setups. It also frames the S-Class as a strong fit if you want a big luxury car that prioritizes refinement and high-end tech over practicality. 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the S-Class is built around premium materials, advanced technology, and a polished flagship experience, which are all traits buyers often associate with careful engineering. It also highlights substantial comfort and maneuverability features, reinforcing the sense that this is a deeply developed luxury sedan. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a highly complex, option-heavy car can be expensive to keep in top condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm the car’s background and verify that any premium equipment was properly documented. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the electronics, driver-assist features, and cabin controls, since this model leans heavily on advanced technology. Focus on overall condition and option content, because the most desirable examples may also be the most complex.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 973 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $113,732, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class's resale value?

The current average of $114,703 sits slightly below last year's $120,828.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if values continue to ease. The current trend suggests the model is holding value reasonably well for a six-figure luxury sedan, especially given its flagship status and strong demand among luxury shoppers. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Mercedes-Benz S-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $76,170, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $114,703 average.
• It adds a modern plug-in hybrid option.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $122,859, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $114,703 average.
• It adds digital key functionality and a center airbag.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing, inventory, and satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if its lower average price matters more than the newer model year.
