Is the 2024 Lexus ES reliable?

The 2024 Lexus ES is described as a reliable sedan with a long-standing reputation for refinement. Its appeal centers on comfort, everyday usability, and a well-rounded ownership experience rather than complexity or performance-first tuning.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Lexus ES?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s records match its condition and mileage. Put inspection priority on signs of wear, prior bodywork, and how well the interior and exterior have been maintained. Because the ES is a comfort-focused luxury sedan, condition matters a lot in how premium it will feel after purchase.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Lexus ES?

• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $39,677, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Lexus ES's resale value?

The current average of $41,346 sits slightly below last year's $41,475.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which can help you buy with more confidence today. If you plan to sell later, the steady pricing pattern is a good sign that the model holds value in a predictable way rather than swinging sharply. For a future seller, that usually means your outcome will depend more on mileage, condition, and equipment than on broad market volatility.

Should I buy a 2024 Lexus ES or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

The bottom line:
The 2024 is the better primary path if you want a comfort-first luxury sedan with stable pricing and a strong pool of clean listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the 2024’s current market balance.
