What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Kia Niro?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, because a clean-looking listing can still hide issues that matter over time. If possible, pay extra attention to how the hybrid system, brakes, and cabin electronics feel during a test drive.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently now. If you plan to sell later, the current trend points to a model that is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively appreciating. For you, that means resale should be respectable if you keep mileage and condition in check.

Should I buy a 2024 Kia Niro or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.93% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,739, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $24,758 average.
• The redesign brings fresh styling and a strong efficiency focus.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the current-year market, a solid mix of efficiency and practicality, and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2023 is the better value path, especially if you find one in strong condition with the features you want.
