How much does the 2024 Jeep Wrangler cost?

Prices have softened 12.82% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 7,364 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare trims and equipment.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Jeep Wrangler earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

You get recurring praise for its off-road capability, rugged style, and manual transmission option. The overview also points to a vehicle that is built around trail-ready performance, open-air versatility, and added refinement for this year.

The trade-offs are clear: it is still a bit of a bear on paved roads, and its ride quality on pavement is poor. It also remains a better fit for buyers who value capability and character than for shoppers prioritizing everyday comfort.

With 40.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as rugged and capable, and the review summary points to a vehicle that many owners trust for off-road use and everyday ownership. The expert review also emphasizes its durable, purpose-built character and the way its powertrain lineup supports a wide range of use cases.

Jeep’s updated cabin refinement and added sound deadening should help ownership feel more settled than before. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a hard-used Wrangler may show wear from trail duty, so condition matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the Jeep has seen trail use. Focus on signs of underbody damage, suspension wear, tire condition, and evidence of modifications or hard off-road use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Wrangler’s trim spread matters because some versions add more capable off-road hardware, while others are more basic. The Willys stands out with standard Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails, while the Rubicon and Rubicon 392 bring more serious capability. Base-oriented models can miss some of those features, so you should compare equipment carefully.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid version, a 3.6-liter V6, or a 6.4-liter V8. The 4xe stands out for its low-end electric torque and 21 miles of all-electric range, while the V8 is the most powerful option.
• Safety package: Forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model, while blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims. Those features are standard only on the High Altitude and 392 models, and there is no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a 12.3-inch center screen with Uconnect5, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. Navigation is optional, and the system also supports off-road pages, dual Bluetooth pairing, a wireless hotspot, and user profiles.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4xe plug-in hybrid offers 21 miles of all-electric range, and the prior model year ranged from 49 MPGe combined in the 4xe to 14 mpg combined with the 6.4-liter V8.

Which 2024 Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sahara, Willys, Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Wrangler experience at the lowest starting point and plan to keep the build simple.
• Sahara: Choose this if you want a more comfort-oriented Wrangler without jumping all the way to the more trail-focused trims.
• Willys: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds Offroad+ mode, 33-inch tires, a rear locking differential, and rock rails.
• Rubicon: Pick this if you want the most serious off-road hardware in the lineup and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package is limited on lower trims, with forward collision warning standard on all but the base model and several driver aids reserved for higher trims or packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Jeep Wrangler?

It looks like a buyer’s market, especially if you are comparing listings carefully and moving quickly on the right one.

• Deal availability: 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 7,364 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.82% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,634, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

The current average of $36,634 sits slightly below last year's $42,023.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, because a Wrangler with desirable equipment and clean history should remain easier to move than one with obvious wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Jeep Wrangler safe?

The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep finally added first- and second-row side-curtain airbags for 2024, and forward collision warning is standard on all but the base model. Blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and park assist are optional on most trims, while the High Altitude and 392 models get more of those features standard.

A key caveat is that there is still no lane-keeping assist or lane-follow feature available. The expert review also flags low safety scores and notes that advanced safety features are not standard.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Wrangler or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.82% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a more modern cabin, updated tech, and improved refinement.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,737, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,634 average.
• It emphasizes body-on-frame toughness and off-road ability over comfort.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $35,998, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $36,634 average.
• It adds standard power windows and door locks across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated tech, stronger refinement, and current-market availability, the 2024 is the one to target. If price is your top priority, the 2023 and 2025 both sit below the current average, so either can make sense if you find the right condition and equipment.
