You should still run a history report to confirm the vehicle’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s description. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more technology or available four-wheel-drive hardware. Focus on overall condition, since the model’s appeal depends heavily on how well its features and equipment have been cared for.

Should I buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,961, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,105 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and refinement with premium materials and strong ride quality.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing, and clean listings, the 2024 is the better all-around choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Grand Cherokee L’s core three-row appeal.
