Used 2024 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2024 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 4.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,685 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 7.33/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, and user-friendly features, and they also like its attractive pricing compared with other trucks. In use-case terms, that lines up well with the Ridgeline’s role as a midsize truck for buyers who want everyday livability and practical utility without a harsh ride.

The main trade-offs are its irritating transmission and limited off-roading capability. The expert verdict also points to its unimpressive towing capacity, so you should view it as a versatile daily driver rather than a maximum-capability pickup.

The market still looks healthy, with 38.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a truck that feels comfortable, spacious, and user-friendly, which usually matters most when you plan to keep a vehicle for a while. The expert evaluation also describes it as easy to drive and live with, with a robust V6 that helps it feel dependable in everyday use.

Honda also includes complimentary scheduled maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, which can reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Ridgeline’s age and limited capability may matter more if you need heavy towing or serious off-road use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the individual truck you’re considering has a clean past. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission behavior, brake feel, tire wear, and any signs of underbody contact if the truck has been used off pavement. It also makes sense to focus on cabin condition and tech operation, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on everyday usability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition. The Sport now gets blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, while the RTL adds more comfort and convenience content, and the TrailSport brings an off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection. The Black Edition adds extra USB ports, HD Radio, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic and torque-vectoring AWD. The engine is described as smooth and responsive, but towing capacity is limited to 5,000 pounds and off-road clearance is modest.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the Sport for 2024.
• Infotainment: Every Ridgeline gets a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 7-inch digital instrument display. The system also has a volume knob, tuning buttons, faster processing, and updated navigation graphics and menus.
• Fuel efficiency: In testing, the TrailSport returned 19.4 mpg, just short of the official 20 mpg combined rating.

Which 2024 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, TrailSport, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the best-value starting point because it now includes the core tech and safety upgrades you actually want, including wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless charging, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the most affordable way into the lineup without giving up the important convenience features, this is the trim to target.
• RTL: This is the step-up choice if you want a more upscale feel and more comfort-focused content without jumping all the way to the top. It suits you best if you care more about daily livability than special styling or off-road hardware.
• TrailSport: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking Ridgeline and the added off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, and underbody protection. It is the trim for buyers who want the most adventurous version, but the truck still is not built for technical terrain.
• Black Edition: This is the most feature-rich version, with HD Radio, extra USB ports, and an eight-speaker premium audio system. It makes the most sense if you want the most upscale presentation and are willing to pay for it.

Honda’s safety package is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are newly standard on the Sport for 2024.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Ridgeline?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,685 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.33% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,260, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $34,568 sits slightly below last year's $36,133.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the Ridgeline’s practical reputation and broad appeal should help it remain attractive to used buyers who want comfort and utility in one package.

Because the year-over-year change is negative, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should hold up better than trucks with visible wear or limited feature content.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2024 Ridgeline earns an Acceptable score in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test and a Marginal rating for its headlights. It also earns four-star ratings in rollover resistance and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist with road departure mitigation, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard on the Sport for 2024.

The main caution is that the ADAS can feel a bit intrusive, with false lane-departure warnings and noticeable system activity in some traffic situations. That means you should test the driver-assistance behavior on your own route before you buy.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds a TrailSport trim, updated tech, and more standard safety equipment.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,465, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,568 average.
• It is aimed at buyers who want a practical midsize truck for modest tasks and daily driving.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $36,216, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $34,568 average.
• It carries over the Ridgeline’s easy-to-live-with crossover-like approach.

The bottom line: If you want the most appealing version of this truck’s formula, the 2024 is the one to target because it adds meaningful updates without changing the Ridgeline’s core strengths. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense only if you find a cleaner or better-equipped example at a price you can justify.
