Used 2024 Honda Prologue for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2024 Honda Prologue cost?

Prices have softened 6.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 584 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Honda Prologue a good car?

The 2024 Honda Prologue earns an 7.8/10 expert rating, and Honda positions it as a familiar, approachable EV rather than something experimental. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

That lines up with the Prologue’s overall mission: it is meant to feel comfortable, attractive, and easy to live with while still delivering impressive technology and a mainstream Honda driving experience. The trade-offs are that every trim comes with large wheels, and some favorite features are not standard.

For you, that means the Prologue makes the most sense if you want an EV that feels conventional and user-friendly instead of ultra-quirky or cutting-edge. 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Honda Prologue reliable?

The Prologue is presented as a familiar, carefully developed EV that leans into Honda’s mainstream approach, and its driving character is described as comfortable and reassuring rather than experimental. Honda also emphasizes authentic driving dynamics, with regenerative braking settings that let you choose between a more natural coast and a more traditional one-pedal EV feel.

The expert write-up also notes that the Prologue’s powertrain and cabin behavior are intended to make the transition to electric driving feel easy, and the vehicle’s user-friendly charging and route-planning tech supports that goal. Honda’s charging-package choices also help you tailor ownership to home charging or public charging habits.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is simply that you should verify battery condition and charging behavior carefully, since EV ownership depends heavily on how the previous owner used and charged the vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Prologue?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple trims or looking at a higher-mileage example. Focus on overall condition, charging equipment, and whether the vehicle has been used mostly for home charging or frequent public fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX is the most basic version, with cloth seating surfaces and fewer upscale touches than the higher trims. Touring and Elite add leather, and Elite gets the most premium presentation, including the brown-and-black interior color scheme and 21-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The Prologue is available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. FWD uses a single-motor setup with 212 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, while AWD uses a dual-motor setup with 288 hp and 333 lb-ft. The FWD setup is the most efficient option.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and blind-zone steering assist. Front-park assist is not available on the EX, while surround-vision and rear pedestrian alert are Elite-only features.
• Infotainment: The Prologue has an 11.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and a standard wireless charger. A head-up display is available only on the Elite.
• Range & charging: The FWD setup is rated for 296 miles of range, while AWD with the 19-inch wheels is rated for 281 miles and AWD with the Elite’s 21-inch wheels is rated for 273 miles. Honda also offers charging-package choices that include public charging credits, a Level 2 home charging station option, or a portable charger option.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, confirm how the vehicle was typically charged, and review whether the remaining battery warranty coverage still fits your ownership horizon. A used EV that spent most of its life on sensible home charging is generally easier to evaluate than one that relied heavily on fast charging.

Which 2024 Honda Prologue trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Prologue is offered in 3 trim levels: EX, Touring, and Elite.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the value play if you want the Prologue’s core EV experience at the lowest entry point. It gets the standard Honda Sensing safety suite, wireless smartphone integration, and the single-motor FWD setup that delivers the best range.
• Touring: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top model. You also get leather seating and the available Bose premium audio system.
• Elite: Choose this if you want the most premium Prologue experience. It standardizes AWD, adds the most upscale interior treatment, includes the card-format key, and unlocks features like the head-up display, surround-vision system, and rear pedestrian alert.

Honda Sensing is standard across the lineup, but front-park assist is not available on the EX, and the surround-vision system and rear pedestrian alert are Elite-only features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Prologue?

• Deal availability: 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 584 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,988, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Prologue's resale value?

The current average of $26,433 sits slightly below last year's $28,317.

That tells you the market has moved in a buyer-friendly direction, which can help you negotiate now but may also mean the vehicle is still settling into its resale pattern. If you plan to sell later, you should expect value to depend heavily on mileage, battery condition, trim, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a clean, well-equipped Prologue with strong battery health should hold up better than a neglected example. The current price trend also suggests you may want to buy carefully, because the market is still giving shoppers leverage.

Is the 2024 Honda Prologue safe?

The Prologue is too new to have been rated by IIHS or NHTSA as of the expert write-up, though Honda says it is targeting Top Safety Pick+ and five-star overall ratings.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard, and the suite includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic braking, and blind-zone steering assist. Front-park assist is not available on the EX, while surround-vision and rear pedestrian alert are reserved for the Elite.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Prologue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 41.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.65% compared with last year.
• The 2024 stands out as Honda’s first stateside EV and first fully electric SUV, with a comfortable, approachable character and strong expert marks for performance and overall usability.

The bottom line: If you want the Prologue’s first-year appeal, the 2024 is the one to target because it combines strong market availability with softened pricing and a well-rounded expert assessment. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep watching listings for the lowest-priced examples and focus on condition, trim, and battery health before you commit.
