Used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback for Sale nearPhiladelphia, PA

How much does the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 2,162 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — your 5/5 user rating lines up with an expert score of 7.67/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback is especially appealing if you want a compact car that makes both driving and the monthly payment feel rewarding. It blends quality, fun, safety, utility, and affordability, and the hatchback body adds meaningful everyday usefulness. Honda also kept the formula largely unchanged after the 2022 redesign, so you’re getting a well-established package rather than a novelty play.

The main trade-offs are clear: all-wheel drive isn’t available, fuel economy fell short of the EPA rating, and blind-spot warning is reserved for more expensive trims.

With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a strong-value example.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback is described as practical, safe, affordable yet first-rate, and fun to drive, which points to a car that should age well in everyday use. Its refined safety tech and well-sorted driving manners also support the idea that it’s built to be a dependable commuter and family-friendly hatchback.

The available turbocharged engine adds stronger, more accessible power, and the cabin tech is easy to use. On the cost side, the model also benefits from complimentary scheduled maintenance in comparison shopping against some rivals.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that you’ll want to pay close attention to condition and maintenance history, especially on higher-mileage examples.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim car with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re looking at.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes LX, Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring. The base LX and Sport are simpler, while the EX-L adds a leather interior and the Sport Touring brings the most upscale cabin and technology. Base trims also miss some of the more desirable convenience and safety equipment.
• Powertrain: LX and Sport use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque, while EX-L and Sport Touring get a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 180 hp and 177 lb-ft. The Sport trim can be had with a six-speed manual, while the turbo engine delivers more accessible power.
• Safety package: Every model gets Honda Sensing, which includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and low-speed follow capability with the CVT, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, and traffic sign recognition. Blind-spot warning is limited to EX-L and Sport Touring, while rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to Sport Touring.
• Infotainment: LX, Sport, and EX-L use a 7-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Sport Touring upgrades to a 10.2-inch digital display and a 9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and a 12-speaker Bose sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: Combined driving ranges from 29 mpg to 35 mpg, and the test car returned 35 mpg on paper but averaged 30.2 mpg in evaluation driving.

Which 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback trim should I buy?

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the simplest entry point, with the 2.0-liter engine and the basic 7-inch tech setup. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the hatchback, but you give up the richer equipment and stronger powertrain found higher up.
• Sport: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more appealing feature mix and can be paired with a six-speed manual. If you want the most engaging setup without jumping to the pricier turbo models, this is the one to focus on.
• EX-L: This trim is the move if you want the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine and a more upscale cabin with leather. It’s a good fit if comfort and stronger everyday passing power matter more than having the most features.
• Sport Touring: This is the most fully equipped version, with the larger digital display, bigger touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, premium audio, navigation, and the most complete convenience package. It’s the right pick if you want the nicest Civic Hatchback and are willing to pay for it.

Blind-spot warning is limited to EX-L and Sport Touring, and rear cross-traffic alert plus front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are exclusive to Sport Touring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback?

The market looks moderate and selective, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,162 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,455, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $25,621 sits slightly below last year's $25,693.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For you as a future seller, that usually means the car should remain easier to price confidently, especially if it’s well kept and equipped with desirable features.

Because the model has broad appeal, a strong reputation, and steady demand, it should remain competitive when you decide to sell. Trim choice and condition will matter, but the overall pricing pattern points to a fairly predictable resale path.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback safe?

The 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback earns Good ratings in nearly all assessments performed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), with an Acceptable result in the updated side-impact test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gives it five-star overall crashworthiness and five-star rollover resistance ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Civic Hatchback comes with Honda Sensing, which includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist and low-speed follow capability with the CVT, automatic high-beam headlights, driver monitoring, and traffic sign recognition.

The main safety caveat is that blind-spot warning is reserved for EX-L and Sport Touring, while rear cross-traffic alert and front and rear parking sensors with low-speed automatic braking are only on Sport Touring. The adaptive cruise control can also respond a bit slowly in some traffic situations.

Should I buy a 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model keeps the established Civic Hatchback formula intact, with strong utility, an available manual transmission, and a well-regarded turbocharged engine in higher trims.

The bottom line: If you want a proven compact hatchback with strong safety, good driving manners, and a stable used-car market, the 2024 is the smart default choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still shop nearby years, but the 2024 stands out as the balanced pick when you want a Civic Hatchback that feels rewarding to own and drive.
