Yes — the 2024 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

For you, that means the GV70 makes the most sense if you want a fresh-feeling luxury crossover with a strong tech story and more powertrain variety than many rivals. The market also shows 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which supports active shopping.

Is the 2024 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GV70 is still a relatively fresh model, and its powertrain lineup is described as unchanged for 2024. The gasoline version uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the Electrified GV70 uses front and rear electric motors with 429 hp and 516 lb-ft. Genesis also backs the model with generous warranty coverage, including a 10-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty and a five-year, 60,000-mile new vehicle warranty.

For used buyers, that combination points to a reassuring ownership outlook, though you should still verify maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing trims or considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on condition, equipment, and whether the features you want are standard on the trim you’re looking at.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GV70’s styling and cabin details vary by trim, with available quilted Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and distinctive wheel designs helping higher grades feel more upscale. Base trims also miss some of the richer presentation found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: The gasoline GV70 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 is also available. The Electrified GV70 adds front and rear electric motors and a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack.
• Safety package: All GV70 models come with lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, a driver-attention monitor, parking assist sensors, and Highway Driving Assist. Highway Driving Assist 2 adds automated lane-change capability and blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: All GV70 models come standard with a 14.5-inch touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Lower trims get an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, while higher grades get a 12.3-inch unit; a 12-inch head-up display is also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four with 19-inch wheels is rated at 24 mpg combined, 22 mpg city, and 28 mpg highway. The twin-turbo V6 is rated at 20 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 25 mpg highway. The Electrified GV70 is rated at 236 miles of range.

Which 2024 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Genesis GV70 is offered in 8 trim levels: 2.5T Standard, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport, 3.5T Sport Advanced, 3.5T Sport Prestige, AWD Advanced, AWD Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T Standard: This is the entry point if you want the GV70’s style, 14.5-inch touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and standard safety tech without stretching your budget. It’s the trim to start with if value matters most.
• 2.5T Select: This is the best-value step up if you want a more polished feel without jumping too far in price. It should appeal to you if you want a nicer daily driver while staying in the gasoline four-cylinder lineup.
• 2.5T Advanced: Choose this if you want more comfort and convenience equipment and are willing to pay for a more upscale experience. It’s a sensible middle ground if you plan to keep the SUV for a while.
• 2.5T Sport Prestige: This trim is for you if you want the most upscale version of the four-cylinder GV70, with the richest presentation and the strongest feature set in that engine family.
• 3.5T Sport: Pick this if you want the V6’s stronger performance and don’t mind starting at a higher price point. It’s the right move if acceleration matters more than value.
• 3.5T Sport Advanced: This is the better choice if you want V6 power but also want more equipment than the entry V6 trim provides.
• 3.5T Sport Prestige: This is the top gasoline trim if you want the most complete V6 experience and the most premium equipment.
• AWD Advanced: If you’re shopping the Electrified GV70, this is the lower-cost entry point and the one to consider first if you want the EV powertrain without paying for the top trim.
• AWD Prestige: This is the fully loaded Electrified GV70 and the best choice if you want the EV version with the richest equipment set.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, and Highway Driving Assist 2 is available if you want the more advanced driver-assistance setup.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $39,011 sits slightly below last year's $42,643.

That price movement suggests the GV70 has softened enough to create a better buying opportunity now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing. If you buy well today, you’re starting from a lower cost basis than buyers had a year ago.

The model’s strong feature content and distinctive appeal should help it stay attractive to shoppers who want something different from the usual luxury SUV choices. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 model’s standout advantage is its fresh-feeling mix of style, technology, and an available all-electric powertrain.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,247, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $39,011 average.
• It emphasizes craftsmanship and refined performance.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping position, the 2024 is the better target thanks to softer pricing, strong inventory, and standout tech. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers a polished luxury experience.
