How much does the 2023 Genesis GV70 cost?

Prices have softened 10.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,200 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its blend of luxury, technology, and performance, along with the high-quality features that make it feel premium. The ride quality is also frequently described as smooth and enjoyable, especially on long trips. Some reviewers note that the styling gets mixed reactions and that the many technology features can feel overwhelming.

That lines up with the GV70’s positioning as a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes craftsmanship and refined performance. It offers a legitimate luxury cabin and a strong standard feature set, though rear legroom is tight and the infotainment controller can be confusing. The market also shows 36.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, luxury, and value for money. Reviewers also highlight the high-quality materials and the sense that the vehicle feels premium over time. The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by emphasizing the GV70’s generous warranty coverage and well-rounded engineering.

Genesis backs the GV70 with a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is a meaningful ownership perk if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul. For used buyers, the main risk is less about basic durability and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only a starting point. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin electronics, infotainment controls, and rear-seat space, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and feature content, because the GV70’s appeal depends heavily on how well-equipped and well-kept it feels.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.5T comes well equipped with power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, four USB ports, wireless device charging, a hands-free power liftgate, remote start, remote keyless entry, and adaptive cruise control. The Select Package adds a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, while the Advance Package adds genuine leather upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, an upgraded stereo, rear sunshades, and a wall-style power outlet. The 3.5T adds genuine leather upholstery, 19-inch alloy wheels, a wall-style power outlet, massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and performance-inspired touches inside and out.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 makes 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The four-cylinder is the better fit if you want strong everyday power with better efficiency.
• Safety package: The GV70 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. On the 2.5T, the Advance Package adds a blind-spot camera system, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree parking camera system. On the 3.5T, those features are found in the Sport Advance package.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses a 14.5-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also includes a rotary dial and center-console buttons, plus four USB ports, wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a nine-speaker stereo system.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder returns 22 mpg city, 28 highway, and 24 combined. The V6 returns 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined. Genesis recommends premium fuel for both engines.

Which 2023 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis GV70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the best-value choice if you want the GV70’s luxury feel without paying for extra power you may not need. It already comes very well equipped, and the available Select and Advance packages let you add comfort and convenience features in a more controlled way.
• 3.5T: Choose this if you want the stronger engine, more upscale standard equipment, and a more performance-oriented character. It adds genuine leather, massaging front seats, and other premium touches, but it costs more and is best for buyers who will actually use the extra performance.

The Advance package on the 2.5T and the Sport Advance package on the 3.5T are the key safety-feature upgrades to watch for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis GV70?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,200 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,904, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $33,904 sits slightly below last year's $37,944.

That price movement suggests the GV70 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If the market continues to favor well-equipped luxury SUVs with strong owner satisfaction, a clean, well-maintained GV70 should remain appealing to used shoppers. The current pricing also gives you a better chance of limiting your loss if you decide to sell later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 safe?

The 2023 Genesis GV70 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a full suite of driver-assistance technology, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. On the 2.5T, the Advance Package adds a blind-spot camera system, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree parking camera system. On the 3.5T, those features are included in the Sport Advance package.

One thing to watch is that some of the most useful safety upgrades are tied to higher trims or packages, so you’ll want to confirm the exact equipment on any used listing before you buy.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds an all-electric version to the lineup while keeping the core GV70 formula intact.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $30,628, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $33,904 average.
• It launched the GV70 with bold styling and strong standard equipment.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,794, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,904 average.
• It broadens the powertrain lineup and adds a fresh take on the GV70 formula.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2023 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 can save you money while keeping much of the same core appeal.
