Is the 2024 BMW M2 a good car?

The 2024 BMW M2 stands out as a compact, rear-wheel-drive performance coupe that puts driving enjoyment first. BMW positioned it as the entry point to the M lineup, and it still manages to balance strong driver appeal with everyday usability.

You get a 14-cubic-foot trunk, a rear seat that works for two adults, and enough front-seat room to make the car more practical than many sports cars. For buyers who want a small coupe with serious performance and usable daily manners, that combination is the core of its appeal.

38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful share of attractive opportunities to shop.

Is the 2024 BMW M2 reliable?

The 2024 BMW M2 stands out as a compact, rear-wheel-drive performance coupe that puts driving enjoyment first. It also brings a strong standard equipment list, including an Active M limited-slip differential, Adaptive M Suspension, and driver-assistance features that support everyday use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a performance-focused coupe can be more demanding to live with than a mainstream car, so condition and maintenance history matter more than usual.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW M2?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a performance car where prior use can matter. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard driving, and whether the car’s maintenance records match its mileage and asking price.

If you find a listing below $63,548, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW M2's resale value?

The current average of $66,137 sits slightly above last year's $66,025.

That small increase suggests the market has been stable, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can help you avoid sharp depreciation swings, especially if you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well. For a future seller, the key advantage is that demand appears consistent enough to support predictable resale expectations.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW M2 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $63,373, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $66,137 average.
• It delivers a more focused, old-school driver’s-car feel.

The 2024 is the better all-around pick if you want the current-year market with stable pricing and strong clean-inventory availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the more price-sensitive path and still keeps the core M2 formula intact.
