Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 BMW 4 Series stands out for blending premium equipment with a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related 3 Series sedan, and it remains a familiar BMW underneath because it shares most of its mechanical and interior parts with the 3 Series. It should appeal most if you want a sporty luxury coupe or convertible with a strong feature set right from the start. 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2024 BMW 4 Series is described as having a premium-feeling interior, generous standard equipment, and a familiar BMW mechanical foundation, all of which support confidence in day-to-day use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying premium-car money for a vehicle whose upkeep and condition matter a lot, so a careful pre-purchase check is important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition. Because the 4 Series is positioned as a premium car, you’ll want to pay close attention to signs of wear, prior damage, and how well the car has been maintained. If possible, compare several listings so you can judge whether the condition matches the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

It looks like a buyer’s market if you’re shopping carefully, because there’s meaningful inventory and a decent share of discounted listings.

• Deal availability: 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,370, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $42,370 sits slightly below last year's $45,209.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean future resale gains are limited if prices keep easing. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from. A well-kept example should still hold appeal thanks to the model’s premium image and distinctive styling.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s combination of market softness and broad availability.
