Used 2024 Acura TLX for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2024 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 5.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 602 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Acura TLX a good car?

The 2024 Acura TLX earns an expert rating of 7.3/10.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It’s a sports sedan that puts performance first and practicality second, so you get a more engaging driving experience than the average family car. The TLX also brings stylish design and strong value for money, but you should expect trade-offs in rear-seat room, cargo space, and technology usability. The biggest compromises are a cramped back seat and unintuitive tech, which matter most if you need everyday versatility.

With 28.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Acura TLX reliable?

The 2024 Acura TLX is presented as a well-equipped sports sedan with a strong safety package and a long powertrain warranty, which supports confidence for used buyers. Its standard equipment list and the brand’s emphasis on safety features suggest a car built to handle daily use without feeling stripped down.

The performance hardware is straightforward for the class: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the main lineup, plus a turbo V6 in Type S form. The TLX also comes with a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty and four-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper coverage with roadside assistance, which adds some ownership reassurance.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the car’s tight cabin and complex tech if you plan to keep it for years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace documentation. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, driver-assistance features, and any signs of hard use. Since the TLX is more performance-oriented than spacious, pay close attention to interior wear and whether the car’s condition matches its mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Technology Package is the entry point, followed by the A-Spec Package and the Type S. The base TLX is no longer available, so the cheapest version starts higher than before. Every TLX gets leather upholstery and heated front seats, while ventilation comes with the A-Spec and Type S.
• Powertrain: The Technology Package uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the A-Spec adds Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. The Type S upgrades to a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, road-departure mitigation, rear cross-traffic monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and upgraded blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert. Every TLX gets these features.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch center screen, dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a wireless charging pad, and Amazon Alexa built in. The center screen is not a touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: No figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2024 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2024 Acura TLX is offered in 3 trim levels: Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Type S.

Here's the short version:

• Technology Package: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the TLX’s core strengths without stretching to the pricier trims. You still get the turbocharged four-cylinder, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and the standard safety and tech suite.
• A-Spec Package: This is the smart step-up if you want more personality and added capability. It brings Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, ventilation for the front seats, and the upgraded audio system, making it a strong middle-ground pick.
• Type S: This is the one to buy if performance is your priority. It adds the turbo V6, the most aggressive hardware, and the most serious driving character in the lineup.

AcuraWatch is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 602 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,953, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $36,639 sits slightly below last year's $38,972.

That price movement suggests the TLX has softened enough to help used buyers, but it also means sellers may need to be realistic on asking price. If you own one, the market is still supportive, but not strong enough to expect a quick premium sale unless your car is especially clean and well-optioned.

For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the TLX’s value is holding reasonably well for a performance-oriented luxury sedan. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than higher-mileage or less desirable configurations.

Is the 2024 Acura TLX safe?

The 2024 Acura TLX earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, and the IIHS has given it the top score of Good in all tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, road-departure mitigation, rear cross-traffic monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and upgraded blind-spot monitoring with lane-change alert. That means you get a broad driver-assistance suite without needing to step up to a higher trim.

One caveat is that the TLX’s infotainment setup can be frustrating to use, especially with phone projection, so you should get comfortable with the interface before relying on it in daily driving.

Should I buy a 2024 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.99% compared with last year.
• It adds a handsome new grille and bigger screens while keeping the TLX’s performance-first character.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,535, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $36,639 average.
• It offers a strong balance of style, comfort, and driving enjoyment.

The bottom line: Choose the 2024 if you want the updated look, improved screens, and the current market’s softer pricing. If you’re focused mainly on saving money, the 2023 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in good condition.
