Used 2023 Subaru Legacy for Sale nearSan Jose, CA

How much does the 2023 Subaru Legacy cost?

Prices have softened 6.71% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 911 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Subaru Legacy a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner approval for this model year. The 2023 Legacy stands out because it combines standard all-wheel drive with a midsize-sedan layout, and this generation is described as the safest and most technically advanced version of the model. It also received a mid-cycle refresh for 2023, with a revised front fascia, a larger grille, sharper headlights, and safety system updates, which makes it appealing if you want traction, safety, and a more modern look without leaving the Legacy’s traditional formula. The market also shows 32.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Subaru Legacy reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2023 Legacy’s appeal comes from its standard all-wheel drive, broad safety equipment, and a comfort-focused setup that prioritizes everyday usability. It also offers a strong mix of standard features, including EyeSight, adaptive cruise control, auto vehicle hold, automatic climate control, LED headlights with automatic high beams, remote keyless entry, auto stop/start, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive system. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a car built around comfort and traction may still show wear in areas tied to daily use, so condition matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Legacy?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.6% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should still check the report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific car you’re considering has a clean past. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, signs of prior repair, and how well the cabin and ride have held up. Because the Legacy’s value proposition is tied to practicality and safety, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and any evidence of neglect.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Legacy?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 911 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.71% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,396, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Legacy's resale value?

The current average of $22,396 sits slightly below last year's $24,007. That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if the broader trend continues. For a seller, the key takeaway is that pricing competitively will matter, especially if you want to stand out in a market with meaningful inventory. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the refreshed look, standard all-wheel drive, and a well-equipped midsize sedan with strong owner approval, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2023 still offers a compelling balance of features, safety, and market value.
