This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

What is the 2023 RAM 3500 Chassis's resale value?

The current average of $48,332 sits slightly below last year's $52,187.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, a lower entry price may help cushion depreciation, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. For you, the key is to buy at a price that leaves enough room for future market softness.

Should I buy a 2023 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.39% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing and available inventory, the 2023 is the primary year to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it can still make sense to compare nearby years and target the best-conditioned truck at the lowest asking price.
