Is the 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis reliable?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What is the 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis's resale value?

The current average of $40,752 sits slightly below last year's $44,643.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, buying well today matters more because your exit price will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2022 if you want the best balance of current pricing and owner satisfaction. If you're especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby years to see whether a lower asking price offsets any differences in condition or availability.
