Is the 2021 RAM 3500 Chassis a good car?

The market data points to a selective buy rather than a clear bargain or avoid signal: the average used price is $37,183, and the model’s deal share sits at 30.5%. With 72.1% of listings accident-free, you still have a meaningful pool of cleaner examples to choose from if you shop carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 RAM 3500 Chassis?

At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage affected the frame, suspension, or body structure. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, repairs, and signs of heavy-duty use, since condition can vary widely from one truck to the next.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 RAM 3500 Chassis?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market: there is enough inventory to shop around, but the best-priced examples may move quickly.

• Deal availability: 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 197 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,183, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 RAM 3500 Chassis's resale value?

The current average of $37,183 sits slightly below last year's $40,707.

That price movement suggests the model has softened in the used market, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. If you plan to sell later, your resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and whether the truck has a clean history. Well-kept examples should hold up better than trucks with prior damage or visible wear.

Should I buy a 2021 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.66% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2021 is a reasonable choice if you want a year with softer pricing and enough listings to compare. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it makes sense to watch for the cleanest examples near the lower end of the range and compare them against nearby model years before committing.
