Used 2023 Porsche 911 for Sale near California

How much does the 2023 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 2.53% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,168 listings available, which suggests you have some room to compare options without facing a thin market.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche 911 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It blends driving enjoyment with everyday comfort, and its cabin uses premium interior materials that reinforce its upscale feel. The lineup also broadens for 2023 with more varied variants, giving you choices that range from more focused to more distinctive.

The trade-offs are clear: cargo space is limited, advanced safety features are not standard, and it is poor value for the money. Even so, the 911’s appeal is strongest if you want a sports car that still feels livable.

Only 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market leans selective rather than bargain-heavy.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 911’s long evolution and premium build quality support its reputation for durability, and its performance focus does not come at the expense of everyday usability. It is also described as comfortable and easier to live with than many sports cars, which matters when you plan to keep one for the long haul.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that a high-performance car can be costly to maintain if it has been driven hard or poorly cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a car with performance-oriented options or a higher-mileage example. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the car’s equipment matches how you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car is the most approachable choice, while the Carrera T adds a manual transmission, lighter components, and a more engaging setup. Higher-performance variants like the GT3 RS and Dakar are more specialized, and the base car’s safety equipment is limited compared with what you may expect in a modern luxury vehicle.
• Powertrain: The lineup starts with a rear-wheel-drive 379-horsepower flat-six, while 4-badged models add all-wheel drive. The Carrera T keeps the same engine but emphasizes weight savings and driver engagement, and the range stretches to much more powerful variants above that.
• Safety package: Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available as part of the optional Premium package.
• Infotainment: The 10.9-inch touchscreen supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless CarPlay and wired Android Auto. The interface can be distracting to use because the screen sits low and the on-screen buttons are small.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2023 Porsche 911 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Porsche 911 is offered in 12 trim levels: Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera T, Carrera S, Carrera GTS, Sport Classic, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and Carrera Cabriolet.

Here's the short version:

• Carrera: This is the best-value starting point if you want the core 911 experience without paying for specialty hardware. It delivers plenty of performance, and it is the trim most clearly positioned as the sensible choice for most buyers.
• Carrera 4: Choose this if you want the same basic formula with all-wheel drive. It makes sense if traction matters more to you than keeping the car as light and simple as possible.
• Carrera T: This is the enthusiast’s pick if you want the least expensive manual-transmission 911. It adds lighter components, a more engaging steering wheel and gearbox setup, and a sportier feel without jumping into the more extreme models.
• Carrera S: Step up here if you want more power and many of the Carrera T’s upgrades without going all the way to the more specialized trims. It is a strong middle-ground choice if you want extra pace but still value everyday usability.
• Carrera GTS: This is for you if you want a meaningful performance bump and a more serious driving character. It sits in the middle of the range and is described as the best representation of the lineup’s balance between capability and price.
• Sport Classic: Pick this if you want retro style and a more distinctive personality. It adds a throwback ducktail spoiler and more power, making it the choice for buyers who care about character as much as speed.
• Turbo: This is the high-output grand-touring option if you want serious power without chasing the most track-focused setup. It is powerful, but the data suggests it is not the sportiest choice in the lineup.
• Turbo S: Choose this if maximum straight-line performance is your priority and you want one of the most powerful versions in the range.
• GT3: This is the track-focused choice for buyers who care most about high-performance driving. It brings a stiffer suspension and a more specialized setup, but comfort takes a back seat.
• GT3 RS: This is the most extreme performance-oriented option in the lineup. It is best if you want the sharpest track capability and are willing to give up comfort.
• Dakar: Pick this if you want the most unusual 911 in the range. Its lifted suspension and all-terrain features make it the clear outlier.
• Carrera Cabriolet: Choose this if open-air driving matters to you. It carries the 911 formula into a convertible body style.

The safety package is limited on the base car, so if advanced driver-assistance features matter to you, look closely at the optional Premium package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche 911?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,168 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.53% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 96.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $212,380, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $223,214 sits slightly above last year's $217,699.

That upward move suggests the market continues to value this model year strongly, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A stable-to-rising price trend can help support your exit value, especially for a car with broad enthusiast appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Porsche 911 safe?

The 2023 Porsche 911 does not have published crash test evaluations from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist are standard on the base Carrera. Adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and blind-spot monitoring are available as part of the optional Premium package.

That means you should pay close attention to the exact equipment on any used example, since advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.53% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 lineup expands with new variants including the Carrera T, GT3 RS, Sport Classic, and Dakar.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $216,665, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $223,214 average.
• It blends approachable performance with everyday drivability.

The bottom line: If you want the broader 2023 lineup and can justify the higher price, this is the better pick. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 gives you much of the same core appeal for less money.
