The 2023 Nissan Murano is a comfortable, feature-laden midsize SUV. While other midsize SUVs focus on maxing out seating capacity and cargo space, the Murano provides spacious seating for two rows of passengers. ## What’s New for the 2023 Nissan Murano The third-generation Murano was introduced for the 2015 model year. It received styling updates and incremental updates in subsequent years. The Murano has just 67 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. With the rear seats in use, that figure drops to 32.1 cubic feet of cargo space. If you select the SL or Platinum trims, this space can be accessed via a hands-free power lift gate. ## Technology Nissan outfits the 2023 Murano with an 8-inch touchscreen on every trim. It’s a bit of a dated design, but it’s incredibly easy to use and includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SL and Platinum trims come equipped with an 11-speaker Bose premium stereo. ## Safety The 2023 Murano comes standard with a number of advanced driver-assistance features. These include forward (and reverse) automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, pedestrian detection, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SV trim also adds adaptive cruise control and front parking sensors. The SL trim adds traffic-sign recognition and a 360-degree parking camera system. ## Pricing As of this writing, the 2023 Nissan Murano has a starting MSRP of $33,660 for the base S trim. Adding AWD brings the price of an S trim to $35,360. The SV trim starts at $37,200, and the SL trim starts at $41,160.
